You broke me like I was one of your fucking promises.
I pushed myself harder as I ran around the border, trying to make my wolf faster and stronger. This was the twelfth lap I was doing, and even when I was exhausted, I had to keep pushing myself. Something was going to occur. I could feel it on my bones... and damn, if I was mistaken please just kill me.
'Astra!' Kais called out through the link. 'Stop this nonsense! You are going to exhaust yourself! What are you trying to prove?'
'Something is going to happen,' I snapped. 'I can feel it, and I have to be ready for it, or whatever it is,'
'And how are you going to help if you are exhausted?' Kais argued and I rolled my eyes, he was right. 'Come back to me,' He whimpered.
I shook my head trying to remove the disappointed look I imagined Kais had at the moment, but as I said before, he is right. With a howl, I trotted all my way back to the Pack House and towards my room, I really needed to take a bath and then I was going to meet with Kais.
I let out a yawn as I made my merry way towards the room when the trespassing alarm blasted. I froze in place as I saw every stop whatever they were doing and ran towards different directions. Before I could follow someone, the special alarm we had set for Loki blasted as well.
Gamóto.
Growling, I forgot about everything and decided to run towards the border, what is Loki planning? I saw how children, the elders and those who couldn't fight ran towards the safety bunkers, and everyone else was ready to attack.
'Where are you?!' Kais shouted through the link.
'Heading to the border,' I replied. 'Don't tell me to run to safety, you know I won't do it, Loki is here,'
Kais growled. 'Whatever you do, don't engage with him,'
'Can't promise anything if he is hurting a pack member,' I replied. 'Remember that he is close, doesn't mean he got in,'
'Be safe please,' Kais whispered through the link, and I could sense his worry.
I knew that I must be careful, I couldn't let Loki get to me or anyone. I also know that we can't capture him, we either kill him or send him away, but he can't be inside the territory.
As I ran through the territory, I tried to catch a sniff of Loki's scent, but I couldn't find it. I was halfway through the territory when my wolf started to slow down, it was exhausting, I was exhausted... Damn it, Kais had been right.
"Oh, but look at this," Loki smirked as he saw me panting. "What are you doing here Astra?" He mocked. "So far away from your precious mate?"
I snarled at him. 'I'm with Loki," I mind linked Kais. 'I can hold him off for a while, but I don't think I can handle him,'
'Don't move, I'm coming,' Kais replied and I stared back at Loki, trying to figure out what he wants.
"You think you are so smart?" Loki chuckled. "I already know that you mind linked my brother, as a matter of fact, I was waiting for you to do it," I rolled my eyes. "You see, I have a plan, and it means to end my brother and you," I barked out. "All bark and no fight?" He taunted I knew that I had to save my energy, but I was not going to have Loki making fun of me, my wolf wouldn't let it. "So what? You are going to wait for Kais to save you?"
Before Loki could make another remark, I jumped on him.

I groaned as I came back to my senses. I wasn't in the hospital, which is extremely good, but I knew that I was in deep trouble... Anáthema.
"Welcome back Astra," Kais sighed as he entered the room. I turned to him and gave him a sheepish smile. "How are you feeling?"
I shrugged. "Rested," I whispered and he growled. Of course, he was mad. "Syngnómi, I know that I made a terrible decision, and then got in a situation of danger," Kais scoffed. "Hey!" I exclaimed. "Don't be like that! I know that I made a mistake, but why are you so angry at me?"
"BECAUSE YOU COULD HAVE DIED!" Kais shouted with such force that I shrank back. I blinked surprised as I stared at him. He was furious, his wolf was furious, and I knew that I wasn't talking to Kais, he was on the verge of shifting. "You don't seem to understand, that I can't live without you, and yet you keep putting yourself in dangerous situations," He seethed. "I will give it to you, to believe that something bad was going on to happen and it did, but you didn't care about the pack, about your friends or even about me when you were EXHAUSTING yourself for what? For absolutely nothing,"
I frowned. "I beg your pardon?" I chuckled dryly. "For nothing? Didn't you just say that I was right, that something DID happen? Yeah, I reacted poorly to my instinct, but still, here I am," I spoke up. "So calm the gamó out, I am not trying to die! I want to be with you, I just don't understand everything fully as you want! You need to understand that, and I don't know, instead of shouting at me, help me understand it better!" Kais closed his eyes as he tried to calm himself. He knew that we weren't going to get anywhere shouting. "Where is Loki?"
He growled at the mention of his brother. "Hospital," He sighed. "You did a good job at immobilizing him, he can't connect to his wolf," I gasped. "Don't feel bad about him, he truly deserved that,"
"No!" I exclaimed as I tried to sit up. "You have to kick him out of the territory," Kais frowned. "I know that he is injured and all, but he was to be removed,"
"Why?" Kais spoke as he sat next to me. "What do you know?" He raised his eyebrow and I shook my head.
"I know nothing," I started. "But, just like I feel that something bad was going to happen, I have this feeling that Loki shouldn't be here," I grabbed Kais' hand. "Think about it, he was leading a group of rouges, and he got captured, why?"
Kais growled as he mind-linked someone. "I need to know what he is planning," He sighed and I squeezed his hand. "We are going to leave him at your old town,"
I smirked. "The Major is going to have fun," I chuckled and Kais kissed my head. "Am I on bed rest?" I questioned and he shook his head. "Do you think, that we could umm, maybe, go out on a date?"
Kais choked and looked at me in bewilderment. "Of course," He smiled. "I need to get some things ready and we'll meet in an hour, does that work for you?"
"Yeah," I replied. "See you in an hour, sýntrofos,"
"See you in an hour sýntrofos," Kais smirked before placing a loving kiss on my forehead and leaving me alone.
