Chapter 48 : Peace

When we reached the house.......I nearly felt jealous of Jo.

The house was the perfect home.....it had the white picket fence and all.

I think it's because when I was a kid in care......this was my dream......to live in a place like this.....and not a place full of kids who had just as many if not more issues as me.

We all got out of the pick up.....

"Nice"Calum says to Jo.

"Thanks"she replies.

"We'll be safe here"Luke says.

"No one comes here anymore.....we're pretty much invisible"Jo says opening the picket gate and walking down the cute dirt path toward the porch.

"Good......no one would look here"Ashton says following her.

Jo looked under a flower pot next to the front door finding a house key underneath.

She smiled at this and unlocked the front door

"There's 4 bedrooms upstairs, the kitchen just down the hall and the living room is to your left"Jo says as we all step inside.

"Jo are you rich"? I asked looking at the expensive décor.

"Kinda..........my mom, she was a pretty good slayer, who was paid very well for each kill....."

"No way your mom was a slayer.........so thats how you got stuck in this business"

"Yeah.......but I chose to be a slayer.........my mom had no part in that"

Walking through the house......it was beautiful, Jacks apartment was amazing.....everything black and white......contemporary living style.......but here I could feel at home.

Jo showed us upstairs.

"Ok.......from what I remember.....my brother had bunk beds in his room so boys....two of you can sleep in there......excuse the outdated Pokemon bed covers....its the first door there to your right..."She says

Calum and Ashton nod and walk inside to the boys room.

Continuing down the hall she stopped at another door.

"Michael....it's the spare room.....there's a single in there"

Michael walks inside without speaking shutting the door in her face.

"Isn't he just a charmer"I joke.

"Oh yeah.....a keeper, ok you two I guess can have the master it's the last door......and I will stay inside this vomit of teenage girl fantasies"Jo says walking to the next door that was covered in Backstreet Boys Posters and Saved By The Bell quotes.

"Goodnight"I say to her as she turns the knob.

"Night"she says as slipping inside.

"Master Bedroom........are you.....ok.....with that"Luke asks me once we reach the door.

"Luke.....everyone knows now........I confessed to the whole group that I love you"

"I guess.....but....you ok, you know with sharing a bed"

I don't answer him, pulling him into a quick kiss.

"Does that answer your question"I ask.

He nods.

We both enter the huge master......

What was weird about lying down with Luke now.....was that he was warm......he used to be freezing.....but I guess now that we are both the same.......its the exact opposite.....

Lying next to him......in this bed.....in this house......almost made me feel like nothing was happening out there.......no werewolves...witches....no warlocks and no blood thirsty new borns trying to kill everyone.I felt........safe and that was weird for me, New York had been a place of constant fear for us all.........and here I an now.....in the most peaceful place I have ever been in.That feeling......that feeling of relaxation......I cherished it.
