Izetta's POV
I woke up the next morning on soft sheets, comfy and calm. I still felt tired, but it was the good kind of tired. The sun was shining through the curtains and I enjoyed its warm rays of light. I could hear birds outside along with some of the morning traffic. I tried to just focus on the birds. I liked the sounds of the city, but they could be chaotic at times.
I wondered what time it was. I didn't have a clock to look at that was in view. I didn't want to move to try and find out either. I didn't care that much. What I cared about was where I was currently. And that was a spot I would've been completely okay with never leaving. Or at least not leaving for a few more hours.
I yawned a little, opening my eyes as I began to register that I was laying with someone. I knew who it was. I hadn't forgotten the night before. The memories made me blush. I smiled, humming a little as I cuddled up to him again. His arms tightened a bit.
"...Izz?" He sounded groggy, but the morning softness in his voice made my cheeks flush even brighter as a giggle left my smiling lips.
"Morning, my prince." I tenderly kissed his collar bone. He shifted, taking in a deep breath through his nose.
"Mmph...Darling, what time is it?"
"I dunno, but I guess we should get ready to go back, huh?" I reminded, noting how long we'd been gone. It would be sheer luck if the castle wasn't on high alert by now. He sighed heavily, feeling just as unenthused as I was to return.
"Regrettably, yes."
"Asgard is your home, you know."
"Yes, but...we can't do this in Asgard."
"Well, then I guess we'll just have to come back again soon~" I teased, but I felt my heartbeat speed up just at the thought of having another scandalous night on Earth with him. My home began to feel like our secret getaway place where we could be ourselves. He chuckled, clearly enjoying the notion as well.
"I suppose we will~"
I leaned in and gave him a kiss. It was soft and sweet. It held the perfect amount of loving purity, a bit of drowsiness (which was to be expected having just woken up), and passionate affection. His arms loosened a bit, relaxing and enjoying the moment. I could feel his chest rise and fall with every breath. It was so incredibly soothing and almost hypnotic. If you know, you know, am I right?
When we pulled away, I tucked some of his messy morning hair behind his ear before tracing his jawline gently as I brought my finger back. He looked irresistibly cute like this. He was always so formal and put together. Seeing him relaxed and messy while not having anything else to care about was humbling. I was glad to be the one to see this side of him. Not to mention that this side of him could also take a few minutes to not be a total drama queen always demanding attention at every turn. Still, even like this, I'd be lying if I said he wasn't incredibly attractive.
"I don't know about the rest of the realms, but I certainly didn't expect the God of Mischief to have looks that matched his unrelenting, cheeky charm," I quipped playfully.
"You wound me, my dear. I thought you were infatuated from the start."
"I saw a little something," I teased. "but I'm afraid I'm a girl who learned to go for personality, not presentation. After all, when you have claws, fangs, and a long wriggly tail...I think basing one's tastes off of looks first might be a little hypocritical."
"Well, luckily, I didn't see your other half first."
"Are you calling my other side ugly?"
"The word I'd use is off-putting, but I mean that in the best regard, my dear." I saw his cheesy smirk and I glared back at him, grinning a little. "Oh, don't act like you didn't expect me to say that, Darling." I scoffed at him, rolling over and stretching slightly.
