Loki's POV

I had been able to evade any hostiles so far. Nobody even knew I was here, but I knew Izetta was in danger. I kept going, following Jarvis' instructions. He told me that she was no longer connected with him because her visor had gotten damaged. This worried me greatly.

"Enemies ahead, Sir." I stopped ducking behind a wall. They rushed by.

"Get to the vault! The boss said to get the heavy artillery!" My heart skipped a beat.

"Izetta, you better be alright!" I snapped mostly to myself. I was almost there when someone suddenly rounded the corner and aimed his gun at me.

"Freeze!" I stopped raising my hands slowly. "Who the hell are you? You're not one of those costume clowns." While his description of my brother and his allies was pretty good, I knew I had no time for this fool. I smiled a bit.

"Well, you see, I'm better than those incompetent idiots." I made a blade come out and I swung it down at his gun. He jumped back, dropping it as I fought him and took him down. He fell onto his back, looking up at me in fear. "I am Loki of Asgard, and you have incurred my wrath." I stabbed him before pulling my blade free.

"Sir, more are coming from the way we came." I looked back. They rounded the corner. I saw one grab a small electronic box on their uniform.

"All units, we have a second intruder! Engage at will!" I ducked as they started firing. I ran as fast as I could, still searching for Izetta. She had to be close now. I needed to make sure she was safe. Then we could get the hell out of there. I just hope I can make it in time. And in one piece...

Izetta's POV

I kept running when I suddenly smashed into someone. I quickly corrected us, pinning them as we fell and roaring in their face. I cut off as I saw who it was.

"Loki!?"

"Izetta!"

A bullet fired and I ducked instinctively. I turned, seeing more armed goons coming our way. I grabbed his arm and yanked him to his feet. There was no time to catch our breath.

"Come on! This way!" I yelled as I pushed him forward and turned, returning fire as we ran through the facility. Both of us ran in sync with each other. I glared over at him slightly. "What the hell, Loki!? I said to wait outside!"

"Do you honestly believe I was going to stay there!?"

"I was hoping you'd have it in you to listen to me at least once since I know what the hell I'm doing!"

"Oh yes! Setting off an alarm was intentional then, was it!?"

"It was a ghost alarm, jackass!"

"Well, I thought you could handle it!" He mocked.

"Yeah and I thought you didn't want to be in here!" We rounded the corner and I saw a man at the other end of the hallway. Loki hadn't seen him before he fired. "GET DOWN!" I shoved him to the side as my shield came up, protecting us. He looked stunned. I took aim and fired a blast. The man cried out before falling to the ground. I offered my hand to Loki. "Let's move!"

We kept going, but then, doors started shutting all around us. We skidded to a halt. We looked around as we realized we were trapped. I turned to Loki. He looked at a loss.

"What now?" I grabbed his arm.

"You're gonna have to trust me, troublemaker." He nodded.

"What's the plan?" I aimed my blaster at the door.

"What does Jarvis see outside?" He scanned it.

"We're surrounded from all sides. That way has the least guards."
