Loki's POV
Even though she said it was nothing, her dream still made me uncomfortable. Something wasn't right and I wanted to know what it was. Still, there was nothing I could do if I didn't even know the full extent of her dream. All I could do was wait and hope for the best.
I held her close, keeping her safe in my arms in case she had another nightmare. Even though her dream had been alarming, it was still comforting to be holding her like this. It was something I had dearly missed. She was always so cute when she slept. There was such an innocence and sense of peace. It made me smile and blush. I really was incredibly lucky.
I decided to stay up for a bit, just thinking. I wondered what it would be like for us on Earth. I wanted to go with her. She had a home there that sounded nice. I was interested in what it would be. I hoped that it would be a good place for me. Of course, any place with her could never be all that bad. Well, any place where we wanted to be, I should say.
She suddenly started to squirm in her sleep. I frowned. I held her gently, running my hands through her hair. I wanted to hush her without waking her. If it got bad, I would wake her up again. She was still fidgeting, so I had to think of something else to help. Luckily, I knew what to do.
I started humming to her, a tune my mother used to sing to me when I was young. It was one I remembered well. I always found it soothing whenever I was upset. While it did make me miss her, I still focused on helping Izetta above all else.
She started to relax again after a little while. I smiled a bit more, relieved that it had worked. She was sleeping peacefully once more. I kissed the top of her head just as an extra measure. I didn't know if she could feel it, but I hoped she could.
"I'm right here. I'm always going to be right here." I whispered to her. She only let out a small noise, moving her head just a bit closer to my chest. She really is the cutest thing when she's like this. I almost wish I could show her what I see.
Soon enough, I felt my own need for rest start to take over. I relaxed with her, happy that we finally had each other and that everything was going to be alright. There were a few things I was concerned about when we would arrive on Earth, but they were minor. All that mattered was that we were together and it was going to be alright now.
After a good long rest that I now knew I desperately needed, I woke up to find she was no longer in my arms. I sat up, but I saw her off to the side, changing. I smiled a bit. She paused as she was grabbing one of her tops. I knew she'd heard me.
"Morning, troublemaker. Well, sort of." She joked before turning with a smile. "Sleep well?" I chuckled a bit.
"Yes, and you, my dear?"
"Felt like I was on clouds." I smiled as I stood up and hugged her from behind as she finished adjusting her shirt.
"Wonderful, my sweet." I kissed her neck and she smiled more, leaning back into my embrace.
"You always have to push my buttons, don't you?"
"Well, seeing that I'm pushing the right ones, yes~" She laughed a bit. Oh, how I've missed hearing that.
"Come on, Loki. Get cleaned up. I'm gonna go talk to Thor. Seeing that you all are coming to my home, I'd better make sure that he knows what to do so things can work out alright. Not everyone is gonna be happy about the move, but if we start off on the right foot, hopefully, things will go smoothly."
"I'll meet you there," I told her as she walked off, leaving the room. I got myself properly dressed and cleaned up before I went after her. They were both in Thor's current chambers. I joined them quietly.
