Izetta's POV
It was early morning when we arrived at our destination. I was a little surprised to see that we ended up on a farm. I followed Clint as we headed inside. I didn't know how he knew whoever was here, but I trusted him.
"So, what is this place?" I asked him.
"Somewhere we can lay low. Ultron won't find us here unless he searches the entire globe and just so happens upon us. I'm hoping we'll have regrouped before he reaches that point," Clint replied. I nodded.
"Yeah, me too." We walked in and I smiled, looking around and enjoying the quaint little house. It was really cute. I liked it a lot.
"Honey? I'm home," Clint called. I paused. Honey? A woman walked out holding what looked to be scrap paper and colorful markers. She walked up to Clint, smiling as he greeted her. "Hi." He gestured back to us. "Company. Sorry, didn't call ahead."
"Hey," She greeted and gave him a kiss. It made me a little sad for a moment, but I shook it off. Tony immediately started theorizing.
"This is an agent of some kind." Clint turned.
"Gentlemen," He looked at me. "And Miss Izetta, this is Laura." She waved, smiling.
"I know all of your names," She admitted. I chuckled.
"I'd be surprised if you didn't Ma'am," I replied. "It's lovely to meet you." Suddenly, we heard footsteps.
"Ooh. Incoming." Clint bent down, ready for whoever was on the way. I saw a young girl and boy come running. I smiled, my heart glowing at the happy scene.
"Dad!" The girl smiled and jumped into Clint's arms.
"Hi, sweetheart! Hey, buddy!" He greeted the kids. Tony was still a bit shell-shocked. "How you guys doin'?"
"These are...smaller agents."
"Look at your face! Oh my goodness!" I giggled as Clint held his kids. This is so precious!
"Did you bring Auntie Nat?" The girl asked as Clint set her down. Natasha smiled.
"Why don't you hug her and find out!" She said as the girl ran up to her, giving her a big hug.
"She is adorable," I said to Laura. Laura smiled back at me.
"Sorry for barging in on you," Steve said.
"Yeah, we would've called ahead, but we were busy having no idea that you existed," Tony added.
"Yeah, well, Fury helped me set this up when I joined. He kept it off S.H.I.E.L.D.'s files. I'd like to keep it that way." I nodded.
"Understandable." With all the shit we go through, it's not really that hard to believe when you think about it. But our surprise explains why Ultron wouldn't know about this place. Hopefully, it really is as off-the-record as we think it is.
"I figure it's a good place to lay low," Clint said, bringing me out of my thoughts. They started talking and I heard Natasha ask about the baby.
"How's little Natasha?" Oh, that's so sweet. Naming her Natasha has got to be the cutest thing.
"She's...Nathaniel." Nat leaned down after a second.
"Traitor." I giggled a little.
"Can't win 'em all, Nat," I said. Laura turned to me.
"So you're the Izetta I've heard all about. Clint said you've been gone for a while."
"Three years, but it's good to be back," I told her. "Thank you for letting us stay here. I would hate for us to be putting any of you in harm's way. If anything happens, I will do whatever it takes to help you all out."
