Hosie- Attraction

Chapter 6

Josie jumps awake at her alarm going off. She sighs as she gets up.

'Gotta dress to impress Rebekah Mikaleson. First meeting I can't be nervous.'

She hops out of bed, looks through her drawer quickly and finds her outfit.

She's wearing a black button up blazer dress her mom bought her when they went shopping last summer. It stops a couple inches past her mid thigh. She looks at herself in the mirror and smiles at her appearance.

She brushes her teeth, washes her face, combs her hair, then grabs her curler, and does her hair.

She then puts on a little makeup, not too much. Just some blush and she fills in her eyebrows then heads downstairs.

While she's in the kitchen, she makes herself a bagel, and looks at the chore board she made for her and Lizzie. She groans as she sees it's her turn to do the dishes since it's Thursday.

'I'll do it when I get home, don't wanna ruin my day before it starts... what if I see Hope today?'

She shakes her head, her chances of seeing the red head today are pretty slim.

She finished up and locks the door on her way out.

At the office she drops off her bag and quickly goes to go get some coffee. This time she gets a cup with a closed top. She sits down and drinks a little bit, she gets a refill then heads back to her office.

She starts with some forms before she has to head to Rebekahs office. Which she has no clue of where it is located.

"Hey Landon, where is Ms.Mikaleson's office?" Landon looks up and says, "She's on the 50th floor, that's also where the meeting rooms are."

"Okay thank you." Raph looks up this time and clears his throat as he stands up. "Hey Josie I can walk you if you want."

Josie looks at him thinking about her answer when she just accepts. "That would be great thank you."

He gives her a shy smile and glances at Landon, who gives him a thumbs up. Jade just looks at both of them and rolls her eyes.

Josie grabs her bag, and walks out of the office, Raphael following closely behind. He catches up to Josie and leads her towards the elevator. They both enter and he presses the button for the 50th floor, which is the top floor of the building.

"So Josie are you enjoying your job here so far?" Raph asks trying to fill the silence.

"Yes I do. Everyone here seems nice and I can see my career growing here." She replies.

"I'm glad your enjoying your stay, your doing great by the way, I'm very impressed on how fast you finish your work."

"Thank you. I try." She says trying to stay as humble as possible.

They sit in an awkward silence now. Raph attempts to break it again, " So if your not busy this-" He is interrupted by the elevator doors and the ding indicating they made it to the floor.

'Saved by the bell, I think he was going to ask me out. I'm not sure I want to date someone in the same office as me, not yet anyway,especially when I just started this job.'

"Never mind." Raph says and shakes his head deflated at the situation.

He walks out and asks Josie to follow. They make it to the end of the corridor arriving at a black door with a sign on it saying :Rebekah Mikaleson CEO.

Raphael then looks at Josie and says, "If you need anything don't hesitate to ask, I'll see you around." She nods at him and he walks away. She looks at her watch and sees that she has five minutes to spare.

'Well it's better to be early than late.' She straightens out her dress and knocks on the door.

"Come in." A voice from inside says. Josie inhales deeply and opens the door. She is met with Rebekah sitting at her desk looking at her computer, she glances at Josie then she glances at the clock.

"Your early Ms. Saltzman, that shows me that you are eager to get to work. Great. Let's get started shall we. Take a seat." She points towards the two grey seats in front of her.

'Off to a decent start.. so far.'

She sits on the left seat and sets her bag on her lap. "Okay so for this meeting we are going to go over some important decisions for the company, bring new ideas, try and advertise, etc." She looks up from her computer to make sure Josie is listening.

"What I need you to do is collect the financial data and see how much we can budget for these said projects we are going to hear about."

"Yes Ms. Mikaleson." She replies.

"Alright here are the sheets for the data you'll be collecting, and here is the budget book you'll be using." She hands them both to brunette.

"Okay let's go." Rebekah says.They walk out the door, and are met with Alyssa who just joins them.

They walk for about two minutes down the hall and they come to a stop at one of the meeting rooms Josie presumes.

They enter, Rebekah sits at the head of the long table and Alyssa sits in one of the chairs close by.

There are about twelve office chairs at the table. Four of them already occupied by some people she doesn't recognize. She looks for an empty seat and takes the first one that catches her eye. She sets her bag down and reaches inside to grab a pen.

The door opens again and more people pile in. She recognized a couple of them on her first day.The people that walked by her office,walked right up to the table and took there seats.

Most of the seats were taken, everyone were pretty spread out at first but then the seats filled up, except for one next to Josie. She didn't mind of course.

Almost immediately one of the men stood up and hooked up his computer to the projector. He mentioned something about a new project he was working on and wanted to show it to Ms.Mikaleson. He then pressed play on his computer and turned the lights down, as everyone's attention turned towards the video playing. Josie started writing down information and placing it in the book,estimating how much it would cost to sponsor this project.

About five minutes into the video it just starts showing pictures. Josie zones out for a little while and chews on her pen.

'Should I drink tomorrow when we go out.. I never really handle my liquor that well, we'll see.' she thought.

The door slowly moves open only Rebekah notices, as Auburn hair comes into view she walks around towards the head of the table. She reaches Rebekah, and whispers something in her ear, who then nods and whispers something back.

Hope then stands up and scans the room. Her eyes land on a empty seat, as she approaches, she notices the brunette that has been occupying her thoughts. She smiles and walks over.

'Oh this is going to be fun.'  Hope thinks. Mischief dancing across her features, as she sits next to the brunette.
