"You may be wondering who that was at the shop?" Josie starts. She plays with her fingers trying to calm the thoughts swirling in her head. She sighs running her hands through her hair.

Hope sensing Josie's frustration, sits up and starts to lick her face.

"Eww!! Hope stop" she laughs, trying to push the wolf away. Hope stops and lays her head on Josie's lap, looking up at her, waiting on her to continue.

Josie smiles and wipes her face. She looks at Hope and starts to speak,"She's an ex I had tried to forget about. For a while I actually did, until she randomly pops up in New Orleans."

Hope listens carefully making sure the brunette knows she's listening as best as she can in this form.

"It was before I dated Aubrey, I was still attending my dad's school. Remember when you said your wolf can get possessive?" She asks.

Hope does her best to nod. "Well the reason I didn't mind is because I've been with a possessive wolf before. Finch being that wolf, but she was a different type of possessive."

Josie can't tell but Hope doesn't like the sound of that.

"She would.... be rough with me." She sighs looking up at the stars. "It would happen mainly when I gave my attention to anyone else. I was never disloyal to her, she had some very deep trust issues and was extremely paranoid. Every time anyone would talk to me she would think I'm cheating or she would get incredibly jealous."

She can feel her eyes getting glossy, "One time... she..." Hope whines feeling this is hard for her girlfriend to talk about.

"She saw me talking to my friend Cleo, she was leaving the country and I hugged her goodbye." A tear falls and she quickly wipes it away.

"She saw and pulled me into her room, we started arguing. I told her I was tired of her behavior and that I was leaving her. She didn't take that well."

Now tears were falling freely, she's still looking at the moon afraid of the way Hope might be looking at her. "She hit me." She finally says.

Hope stands at that, afraid she might have heard the girl wrong. "She kept doing it and didn't stop, I couldn't defend myself, she was so strong and I had no chance of siphoning from her. I was too weak to fight her off. When she was done she grabbed me by my face and told me I'm never going to leave her."

She sniffles and tries to wipe away the tears that are still falling."After that I was too afraid to leave or even tell someone because she would threaten to beat me up again. It was like that for months. Lizzie eventually stopped asking me what's been going on, one day she burst into the bathroom while I was using a glamour spell to cover up one of the many black eyes she gave me."

She touches her left eye remembering that moment. "She saw it and lost her shit, she had a sneaky suspicion and that confirmed it, she went straight to our dad and told him everything. It was such a big deal my mom flew to the school and they expelled Finch. I haven't seen her since then, except for today." She finishes. She doesn't even stop the tears from falling anymore.

She puts her hands over her face and sobs into them, tired of holding all those emotions in, she can't, they're too overwhelming. Trying to hold them back only makes her cry more.

She feels Hope move off of her lap, she hears the sound of what she can assume is bones breaking and reforming because after a minute she feels soft hands pulling hers away.

There sits Hope in all her naked glory. She's caressing Josie's face and she pulls her into a hug. "Shhh baby, I won't let anyone hurt you." She coos.

Josie continues to sob and moves her arms around the older girl. She can still feel how warm she is as she continues to cry into her neck.
