Chapter 18

The rest of the time Josie spends with Hope basically goes that way.

Hope and Ethan would playfully argue throughout most of the time. Josie on occasion would join Ethan on teasing Hope, who would huff and get annoyed at being double teamed.

Josie also learned more things about Ethan and his friendship with Hope. She also figured out that he was a vampire, which she thought fit his personality, she doesn't know why, it just did.

Eventually she had to go back to work. She said goodbye to Ethan, thanked Hope for the food, kissed her goodbye, and tells her she will see her later. All before she walks out the door.

"So ..... things are going good between you guys?" Ethan asks. He picks up one of Hope's pens and plays with it.

"Yes. Things are great." She replies, as she spins around in her office chair.

He nods, then throws the pen at Hope, she catches it without fully turning around. "She seems nice. But don't be fooled, she could be the devil in disguise." He warns pointing at her.

"No, not her. She just wants someone to put her first for once and that's exactly what I'm going to do." She stops spinning her chair and faces him. "As for the devil in disguise, everyone knows that's my father." She smiles.

Josie continues with her day, doing as much work as she possibly can.

"Hey Josie"

She looks up from her screen to see Jade walking up to her.

"Hey" Josie replies.

"So we are going to this bar called the black rose. You wanna ride with us?"

"Oh no that's okay. I'm riding with someone, I invited a colleague of mine. He's from the 39th floor, I hope you don't mind."

Jade shrugs her shoulders, looking defeated but hides it with a smile. "Of course not, the more the merrier," Josie mirrors her smile. "So I'll see you there?"

"For sure." Josie replies

Josie watches as Jade grabs her things and walks out the door.

She's the only one left, everyone left earlier when they finished work for the day, while she was working two days ahead of schedule.

She only stops when she hears her phone vibrate.

MG: I'll meet you on the first floor?

She checked the time and she had about five minutes to seven. She starts packing her things, after making sure she got everything she heads towards the elevator.

She gets to the first floor. "Hey so where we heading off to?" Mg says.

"She said it was a bar called the black rose."

"Oh yeah, I've been there before." He starts leading her to the parking lot.

"Your not gonna try and kill me are you." She asks playfully, she remembers when she asked Hope the same thing and smiles consciously.
