Chapter 36

Josie had went back to work after her activities with Hope. She had to fix her hair before returning back to office and per Hope's request she didn't use the glamour spell to cover her neck.

The marks weren't as big as they normally were and it wasn't that many. Hope wanted Jade and others to know that she was taken. Now that Jade knows Josie doesn't really care if others do as well.

She walks back into her office and sits at her desk and got right to work.

Every now and then, she would sneak a glance at Jade who would just keep her head down on her laptop. Once Josie caught her looking, but as soon as she did the girl averted her eyes quickly.

'Great Hope scared the life out of her.'

She sighs and continues with work not trying to worry about that situation.

A couple of hours go by, everyone left already to go home and Josie is still there.

She's committed to getting everything done, on top of that she heard Landon talking about some new positions opening up at all the Mikaleson companies in state.

The only one that caught her attention is the financial analyst position. With that promotion she would be getting a lot of money and pretty much working beside Rebekah Mikaleson at that point but she knows it won't be easy.

That's why she is currently still in office three hours after her shift, so she's not even getting paid for overtime but she doesn't care about that right now. She's already four days ahead of work and she wants to get further than that.

She may be overly ambitious and some what of an overachiever. Her phone vibrates and she tears her eyes away from her laptop screen and picks it up.

Hope: Hey babe wyd?

She smiles at the message before writing her own.

Josie: I'm just finishing up some extra work

She puts her phone down and finishes a data sheet as her phone vibrates again.

Hope: You're still here? I'm coming to you.

Josie's confused for a second before the door swings open showing her beautiful girlfriend. She smiles as the girl walks over to her.

"Hello love." She says before pecking the girls lips and then leans on her desk. "Still putting in work I see." She adds, watching Josie tap away along her laptop.

"Yep, but now I'm ready to go home." Josie says as she closes her laptop and starts packing up her things.

"Want me to take you?" Hope asks.

"Only if you stay for a while." Josie counter offers. She walks up to the auburnette and intertwines their hands.

"I would love to." She says before leading her out the door.

"I see Ethan replaced the car." Josie says as Hope opens the passenger door for her.

"He didn't really have a choice in the matter." She replies before closing the door behind Josie. She gets in shortly after that, buckles her seatbelt and starts her car. "The only thing I dislike is the color." She says.
