Chapter 55 "You seriously have a death wish"

Josie is walking out of a coffee shop, she needed it after not getting much sleep last night. There was this weird encounter with this guy that had bumped into her almost making her spill her coffee. After that she made her way towards the shop Freya had recommended.

She walks in, taking a couple of sips of the coffee before going up to the counter. She asks the woman for witch hazel, sage, and some roots among other things for the spell. After purchasing them she finishes her coffee and puts it in the trash.

As she walks out she only takes about five steps before she feels something grab her arm and before she knows it she's in an abandoned alley, when she finally fights this persons grip off of her wrist she turns to see who it is.

Her eyes widen and her hands start to sweat immediately seeing the person she didn't want to see.

"Miss me?" The dark haired girl says.

Josie wastes no time and says and incantation, "Phesmatos Incendia." She's confused when nothing happens so she repeats it noticing that she can't even siphon from her bracelet.

"Yeah you can't use magic, I had someone slip some anti magic pills into your drink earlier. Don't worry they aren't lethal they just take away your magic for a while." She says stepping closer grabbing Josie by the wrist aggressively.

"Let me go!" Josie yells trying to remove herself from Finch.

The dark haired girl ends up grabbing both of Josie's wrist, pulling her with force, close to her face. Her eyes tint gold and she watches as Josie continue to fight her.

"Don't make this harder than it has to be Jo." She says, once again trying to drag her away.

"Help!!" Josie screams not wanting to go anywhere with her, she wishes Hope were here.

Finch turns around and pulls her hand back, Josie visibly freezes her heart starts raising as her anxiety kicks in, a flash of memories flood her brain taking her to when this all happened before, she cant even move , she just watches the girl's hand move closer and closer to her face.

(15 minutes earlier)

"Really!!! Oh my gosh Hope I'm so proud of you!!" Hayley says, before almost squeezing Hope to death with the hug she's giving.

"Mom... can't... breathe." Hope gasps out.

"Oh." Her mother says and releases her. "I'm just so happy, ooo wait until your father hears this. He might throw a party and invite the whole city."

Hope chuckles,"That is why he will be the last one to find out although he has his suspicions."

"And you already asked her father?" She asks.

Hope nods, "Yeah I convinced Lizzie to give me his number. I thought it would be a lot more complicated to ask for his blessing but he surprised me. Said he want Josie to be happy, he can see that she is happy with me, the happiest she's been in a while. It was a good conversation."

After that they just stare at the lake in silence, watching how beautiful it is for the sun to reflect off of the water. She loves this time with her mom, reminds of when they did it when she was a child.

Hope's eyebrows come together in confusion,"Hey do you hear that?" She says turning to her mom.

Suddenly she feels a dull pain in her neck, she reaches for the object sticking out of her skin and holds it up.

It's a syringe dart, her mothers voice becomes disoriented,her vision gets blurry, and she feels dizzy. She manages to stay upright.

Hayley snatches the object out of Hope's hand and smells it she immediately coughs, "Wolfsbane." She says but Hope cant hear her.
