Josie fumbles around in her sleep, like usual she reaches for the warmth of her girlfriend's body but ends up empty handed.

She opens her eyes and sits up. She wipes the sleep out them then she lets her eyes adjust in the dark room, that's seems less dark now because she sees a bunch of candles lit.

Confused, she sits up and that's when she notices red rose petals are splayed across the bed she's laying on, she picks a couple up before letting the fall. She looks at the bedside table and sees a letter addressed to her.

'What are you up to Hope?'

Josie picks it up and it says, Follow the rose pedals- Hope

She can't help but smile at how vague her girlfriend is being right now.

She leans over the bed to see the rest of the pedals leading out the door. She smiles and was about to get off of the bed until she remembered she can't. She pouts but tries again and fails.

She falls back onto the bed, but sits up quickly when she hears the door open, covering her nude body with the blankets.

Hope walks in holding a breakfast tray that has a bouquet of roses sitting on the side, some heart shaped waffles that are topped with strawberries and blueberries, then there's syrup, and a cup of coffee.

She walks up to Josie and tries to hide her nervousness with a smile. Josie smiles back as Hope sits on the bed with the tray.

"What's all this?" Josie asks.

Hope hands her the tray and shrugs her shoulders. "Just showing you how romantic I can be." She says.

Josie happily takes the food and takes a bite out of a strawberry. "I've always known you were romantic."

Hope chuckles nervously, "It would have been more romantic if you would have came downstairs but then I remembered you couldn't walk because of me." She fiddles with the rings on her fingers.

Josie giggles softly, "I didn't mind last night and I don't mind now." She reaches over to grab Hope's hand, which is strangely sweaty but it doesn't bother her. "You okay babe?" She asks.

"Y-yeah I'm fine." Hope replies. Her face showing the complete opposite and she can feel her hands starting to sweat more.

Josie raises an eyebrow in question. She heard Hope's heart skip a beat at the question. "You don't sound fine and I heard your heart so?"

Hope chuckles at that, she almost forgot her girlfriend can listen to that type of stuff now. She sighs. "I know this is cheesy and I wanted to do this differently but I kind of suck at planning things. If I don't do this now, I don't think I'll have the courage again anytime soon."

She looks the brunette in the eyes, "Ever since you came into my life you've made me the happiest person in the world."

Josie's smile only grows wider at the admission. She kisses both of Hope's hands in response having a feeling Hope isn't done talking.

"The time I've spent with you has been some of the best moments I've ever experienced. You have never asked me for anything, you have only given me everything I've ever asked for without wanting anything in return. I love that you have a kind heart and soul, its the best part of you and I couldn't dream of a better partner or picture the rest of my life without you."

Josie's eyes are glossy now, she was about to say something but Hope closes her eyes.

Hope takes a deep breath feeling her nerves starting to get the best of her. She reaches into her pocket with shaky fingers, pulling out the black box her father gave her.
