Double update!?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Josie was enjoying her company. She knew Hope was interesting but she had no idea that she would feel this way just talking to someone she had a sudden connection with. She hopes she isn't the only one that feels this way.
Little does she know, Hope feels the exact same way.
She also didn't realize how close her and Hope had gotten since they first got up there.
They had gotten to know each other more and Josie is so happy to learn more about Hope.
She learned that Hope has a good amount of aunts and uncles, how she's an only child with and adoptive brother that's kind of her uncle now, "it's complicated" is what Hope says.
She talked about her mother and how much time she wish she could spend with her. She said the same with her father. She also said that she's the product of a one night stand, and how everyone said she was the best thing that happened to her family. Her parents weren't in a relationship, her mother was with her uncle. Hope said again that her family is complicated.
Josie noticed the way Hope basically glowed when she talked about her father. She loved the look on her face. She was honestly surprised Hope told her so much, Hope even admitted that family meant everything to her and that she is a private person. Josie didn't mind.
Josie shared quite a lot to, she talked about her mother, father and Lizzie. She also told her how she grew up and how she and Lizzie are so codependent that they didn't want to leave the city without the other. How she likes to sing, and how she's a vegetarian. She just felt like she can talk to her about anything. Nothing could ruin her night.
"Oh wow your gorgeous and smart, your the full package love." Hope says. Josie just shakes her head. Pink tints her cheeks. They were currently talking about Josie's studies. "I just love to learn, I enjoy it which may be a little odd." Josie says.
"A little odd?" Hope asks. She was confused on why Josie would say that.
"Mhmm everyone I know said I would spend to much time in the books. They would complain or worry about how I didn't get out much, I'm kind of a introvert. The only one that didn't complain and just supported me was my mother. But it was the opposite with my dad, my sister, and Aubrey." Josie says.
"Who's Aubrey?" Hope says. Josie looks at her and realized her mistake.
She mentioned her ex. She cringed at the situation. "Uh yeah she was my ex." She picks up her drink and takes a big gulp. Which she regrets. She can feel the alcohol flowing through her body and it almost hits her like a wave. At this moment she knows she's buzzed.
"Ohhh." Is all Hope says. She watched Josie drink like her life depended on it. She figured this was a sore subject. Hope sits up, and takes Josie's hand.
"Everyone was wrong, you know what they say about people who read a lot of books?"
Josie shook her head no. "They are just filling their minds up with as much information as they can." Hope speaks to her softly. "I don't see a problem with that. And your ex should feel stupid for letting you go. Gosh your so beautiful, smart, talented, ambitious, and I could go on and on. She's going to continue her life thinking that your the one that got away, and if she doesn't well forget her." She finishes.
Josie doesn't know if it's the alcohol but her heart is beating irregularly she could fill it about to burst out of her chest, and she knows Hope can possibly hear it but she can't stop it.
No one has ever cared enough to try to understand how she feels about anything. She's only used to her family doing it. None of her friends or the people she was in a relationship with knew how to comfort her.
