Jain didn't tell anybody about the moving until she saw her therapist that Monday.

"And then he told me we were moving to Korea." She cried while wiping her face. "Do you know why Korea?" Her therapist asked writing down on a note pad. "That's where he was raised." She said. Her therapist nodded. "Well Jian I know this is gonna be hard to deal with but sometimes changes are needed in order to help us. You said your friend is away for a while correct? Well she had to leave all her friends and family in order to go to school that will definitely help her in the future. Do you understand what I'm trying to say?" Jian nodded and sniffed.

"Ok good. So I want you to go home and just enjoy it here in America while you can. Ok?"

"Ok" Jian stood up to leave. "Goodbye." Her therapist said and she waved before exiting the office she was recently in.

She got home and went to her room where she didn't know what to do. She called Y/n to see how she was doing away from home. "Hey." Y/n said answering the phone. "Hey. I need your help."

"What is it?" Y/n asked being concerned. "My dad is moving me back to Korea." She admitted.

Y/n gasped. "Really? Like...forever?"

"Hell no. When I turn 18 I'm moving right back and no one can stop me." Jian stated proudly. "What if you like it there?"

"I won't. Believe me. I just hope I can talk him into moving us to a city like Seoul or Busan you know?" Jian said lying down in her bed with a flop. She ran her hand through her hair. "One of the only good things I can think about Korea is fast internet." Jian laughed.

"Shit I might think of moving there then. The internet in this dorm sucks." Y/n sighed and rubbed her face with her free hand while the other one was holding her phone. "Oh yeah. How's that going?"

Y/n sighed. "It sucks. It's a religious based school and I generally didn't know that until I was excepted into it." Jian laughed out loud at her. "Oh my fucking god that is great!" Jian wiped her tears from laughing. "I'll have to go to a religious place as well. Maybe not catholic but when I move to Korea I'm gonna have to stay with my Grandparents in Daejeon which is in South Chungcheong I think? Anyways yeah and they are very strict Buddhists so that'll be fun." Jian explained sarcastically.

Y/n nodded. "Yeah I don't know shit about Korea." She laughed. Jian nodded. "Anyways I just thought I'd call and ask how your doing. I have to go now. Bye bye." Jian said and y/n hung up.

A few weeks had passed. She had already told more people about the move. But the day had finally come. Jian was packing her things.

She had 3 different suit cases full of clothes, makeup, and other products and unnecessary things. Her dad and her got in her fathers SUV and drove off to the airport they would be leaving in. "Jian just saying you might wanna practice your Korean before we end up at your grandparents house. I bought you this study book," he said handing her a book. "Learn from that."

They made it to the airport at 6:30 and their flight didn't leave until 7:30. They went through security and then found a place to get food for breakfast. "Jian let's practice your Korean ok?" Her dad said obviously worried on how she'd do communicating with her grandparents. "Alright." Jian said annoyed.

"안녕하세요!" Her dad spoke to her. "안녕하세요 아버지." She replied. They had a 20 minute conversation in Korean. "I'm glad to see you still understand it." Her father said relieved. "네" she said nodding and they both laughed.

Soon they were both on the plane, heading to a new life in another country.

Jian played on her phone for most of the flight. Eventually she was bored and sorta hungry. She looked over at her father sitting next to her. He had his head back and he was snoring loudly. Jian scoffed and rolled her eyes. She put in some ear buds to help block out the sound.
