Yuuri walked through the school doors, an overwhelming feeling of loneliness hit him. Normally Jian or y/n walked in with him but now they had both moved away he had no one but Namjoon who was gonna be late today because of what he called 'business'.
Yuuri looks around the hallway, trying to spot a familiar face in the crowd of lousy teenagers.
Yuuri walked to his first class and walked into the bright classroom. He sat down in his seat and saw people chatting with their friends. Yuuri laid his head down on his desk and sighed.
Soon it was lunch time and Yuuri made his way to the cafeteria where he would usually eat lunch with y/n and Jian. He saw Namjoon sitting down at a table with a tray of lunch in front of him. He walked over and sat down across from him. "Hey" he said and Namjoon looked up at him. Namjoon gave a weak smile. "Hey".
"So I'm guessing without Jain and y/n you have no one else to eat lunch with?" He asked which sounded pretty rude to Yuuri. "Why do you not want to eat lunch with me?" Yuuri asked kind of offended. "No no honey that's no it." He laughed and shook his head. "I honestly think it's you who shouldn't want to eat lunch with me." Yuuri giggled.
"Well your right. I don't have anybody else."
Namjoon nodded and looked around. "Well why don't you try making new friends? No boys." He said seriously and Yuuri laughed. "Why? You don't trust me?"
"No it's just that I want to be the only man in your life." Namjoon flirted and rested his head in his hand. Yuuri rolled his eyes and looked around. "How about that girl?" Namjoon asked pointing to a girl sitting alone at a table. "Jihyo? Eww no. I hate her." Yuuri said with disgust written on his face. Namjoon chuckled and continued to look around the cafeteria.
"How about those girls?" He pointed to a group of 3 girls sitting together at the end of a table. Yuuri furrowed his eyebrows and scoffed. Joy, Tzuyu, and hwasa had bullied him in middle school about being to masculine and the way he dressed although even now Yuuri would agree red polos where not a very fashionable choice.
"No I hate them too." He said looking back and Namjoon. "I think you have a hate problem. You can't make friends if you hate everyone." He said making eye contact.
Yuuri rolled his eyes. "Who do you not hate?"
Yuuri looked around, kind of annoyed that he had to make new friends in the first place. He spotted a girl in the corner of the room. She looked friendly enough. She also didn't have anyone sitting around her so that would make it a lot easier for him to talk to her. Yuuri had seen her around school but he didn't know her name or anything. "Her?" Yuuri asked pointing her finger to the girl at the other side the room (not noticing at all). Namjoon looked at the girl for a second before nodding. "Ok. She's in AP Algebra with me. Don't know her name though. I think it started with an A? I'm not sure."
Yuuri nodded. "Ok well imma try I guess." He said standing up and heading over towards the girl. He sat down in front of her and she didn't look away from her phone. "Umm hello." Yuuri started and she looked up at him. "Hi?" She answered and Yuuri smiled a little.
"My name is Yuuri what's yours?"
She looked around, making sure Yuuri was talking to her. "Aisha" she said quietly. "Uh ok Aisha. Nice to meet you." There was an awkward silence until Aisha spoke, "what are your pronouns...Yuuri?" She brushed her short boyish hair out of her eyes.
Yuuri smiled. "Thank you for asking. He/ him. How about you?"
"They/them." Aisha answered. "And if it's ok may I ask are you trans?"
"Yes I am. Also bisexual." Yuuri said and pointed at Namjoon. "That's my boyfriend."
Aisha nodded and looked at Namjoon who looked away when they looked over. "I'm single" Aisha laughed a little. "So do you maybe wanna hangout sometime or..?" Yuuri asked and Aisha shrugged. "Ok Umm maybe sometime. Can I have your number?"
They handed their phone to Yuuri and Yuuri typed in his number. Yuuri handed Aisha their phone back and smiled. "Well it was nice talking to you but the bells is about to ring so I better get going. Bye bye." Aisha said standing up. "Bye." Yuuri waved smiling.
After Aisha left Yuuri sighed and went back over to the table Namjoon was sitting at. "Soooo.... How'd it go?"
"It was ok. I have her my number and she agreed to hangout sometime." Yuuri said nodding. Namjoon smiled. "Great. See? Now you'll have someone to talk to!" He giggled.
Jian walks into the apartment her dad following behind her. "This is it." He said looking around and setting a box down. "It's a bit small but decent."
Jian nodded and walked around. She found the room that would be hers and set her things down on the floor in the middle of the room. Her dad entered the room. "Your gonna have to sleep on the floor for a day or so before we get you a mattress or anything." He said while Jian examined the room.
"I'm gonna put the desk right here," Jian said pointing to a wall. "And then I'm gonna put my bed right here," she said and pointed to a corner. "And then a vanity right here," her dad nodded. "We'll talk when we have the money." He joked.
Jian nodded and smiled cheekily. "Yeah well I'm planning on getting a job. And I was thinking of maybe working in a boba shop."
Her dad rolled his eyes. "You'll work wherever you can Jian. I'm barley able to pay rent by myself so you'll have to get a job to pay for other things like food whatever else we would need." He said and walked out of her room. Jain started to unpack. Jian snuck her vape through airport security by putting it in a makeup bag and keeping the charger hidden in a bag with every other charger she needed like phone charger, computer charger, ect.
She zipped open her suit case and pushed it over to a corner of the room. She took out things like makeup and accessories and products to put in the bathroom. Before she went to the bathroom she took her vape out and put it in her bra.
She walked out of her new bedroom and into the bathroom. It was a small bathroom with white walls, white shower, white sink, although it did have a bade which Jian cringed at. She put her things in the cabinet under the sink and put body wash and shampoo in the corner of the shower floor which was white tile.
She stood up straight again and walked out into the kitchen where she saw her father looking around. "I think we'll just eat take out until we can buy groceries." He laughed. "Didn't grandma give you food?"
"Yeah nothing we can really make anything with though because we don't have pots and pans or dishes to eat out of yet. Why? do you want to eat cabbage?" Jian shook her head no.
"Anyways. You start school tomorrow. I'm gonna go pick up your uniform and maybe stop at a shop to get you school supplies like pencils and pens, notebook maybe." Jian nodded. "And while I'm gone you can unpack more, look up boba places to work at. Don't work for anything under 7,000 won an hour." He grabbed his wallet and left.
Jian went back into her room and sat on the floor, back leaning against a wall. She took out her phone and looked up 'boba places hiring near me'.
A few places came up. Cofioca, gong cha, palgong tea,...
She chose the one that paid best and filled out an online Application. It said she would get an email if she was hired and would be told the time her training started.
She looked at the time and it said 3:30. She took at hit of her vape and held it in for a long time. She sighed it out and cleared her throat.
