Chapter 34:
~Sean~
We all sat in the new, roomier practice room. It was like a complete gymnastics room. The group of us there to watch (which included: Professor X, Lily, Hank, Dylan, Wade, Logan, Sapheron, Gene, Scott, Storm, Alex, and I) the fight between Helena and Breeze.
All of the younger kids that were here, which were only about six, were upstairs with Carla because she did not really care to watch. Plus, she had a soft spot for kids, which was just weird to me. She only really smiled around them.
Helena and Breeze stood on opposite sides of a mat that was about twenty across. On the sides of the mat were barrels that seemed to filled with water. I didn’t really understand that. They were both in black sweat shorts, but Helena was wearing a bright blue thick strapped tank-top while Breeze was wearing a black one. I guessed it was so we could tell them apart easier when they started fighting.
“Okay,” Logan said stepping forward. “Helena. Breeze. Here are the rules. Don’t kill each other and don’t destroy anything or anyone. Okay, have fun.”
I sighed. Of course Logan would say that.
“So we just try to kill each other?” Helena asked as her and Breeze began to circle around the matt. “Well other than exactly killing each other.”
“Yes,” Professor X said.
Breeze smiled. “This should be fun. You don’t know what I can do yet, do you sister?”
“You don’t know what I discovered about myself while you were taking your nap,” Helena countered.
“So is that we are calling it now?” Breeze asked looking amused.
“I suppose.”
“Will you to just attack each other already,” Wade shouted.
“Shut it!” Alex and I yelled at him.
Of course, Breeze and Helena seemed to take him seriously.
We looked back to see them running at each other at top speed. I held my breath when the two collided. The two both tried to punch each other at the same time. Their fist hit each other and they laughed.
Breeze took the moment to spin around, bringing her foot up, and trying to kick Helena in the head, but she ducked just in time to missed Breeze’s foot. Helena flipped back and then brought her fists up. Breeze did the same and the two circled at close range.
“I kind of like having a crowd,” Helena said. “It makes this more exciting.”
“I agree,” Breeze replied before taking a swing.
Helena ducked and swung.
I cursed as Breeze got hit in the face. She stumbled back a bit before standing up straight and getting ready to go against her sister again. This time, though, her eyes became hard. The spot on the side of her face was becoming red and I saw a small cut that was bleeding.
“I think we should step this up a notch,” Breeze hissed playfully.
Helena smiled and her hair started to turn blue. “Oh yes, we should.”
