Prologue and Chapter One:
Prologue:
It started off as such a normal day. Before I start the story, I should probably tell you a little about myself, and some of the people that are in it.
My name is Breeze Elizabeth Helguard, I am a freshman at Westchester College in New York City, I am seventeen years old, I skipped seventh grade, and as of now I have a 4.0 grade average; though this information is no longer very relevant to me. I was studying to be an anthropologist, and it was my dream to become of writer, that still is relevant to me.
I had light reddish, brown long curly hair that went down to about my elbows. My eyes were a bright, clear blue color, but that didn’t show because I had glasses on most of the time. I was about average heights; five feet, three inches. Over all I was an average girl, not ugly, but not beautiful either. I had my first boyfriend in tenth grade, but it only lasted a few months, then again, that’s not important…
Because I was the ‘smart girl’ no one really talked to me. I was usually by myself. On the bright side of that I had no distractions. That’s how it was in my first semester anyway. Then in my second semester I met Sean Cassidy. He was this goofy guy, with shaggy, curly, red hair and bright green eyes, and he was about six’ one’’. His grades weren’t the best, but they were better than his friend’s.
Alex, or Alexander, Summers was this pretty boy that all the girls feel over. He was cute, with his blond hair and blue eyes. He usually had on a leather jacket, and didn’t talk much, expect to Sean. Over all I found him pretty annoying.
The three of us had an American History class together. We usually studied together and did the protects together. It was nice to have friends. What I didn’t know about my new friends though, is that they had a secret. In fact a rather large sting of secrets that could get me killed.
What I didn’t know is where Alex, and sometimes Sean, disappeared to on the weekends was a place full of people like them.
This is how I met the X-men.
Chapter 1:
It was another day. I was running to my American History class, my roommate had turned off my alarm because she was out late doing who knows what, and so I was late.
I ran into the class right as the bell rang. Thankfully, the teacher wasn’t there yet. He was usually late as well. I quickly got to my seat next to Sean and pulled out my notebook, and then started digging for a pencil, to find that I forgot my pencil bag.
“Roommate turned off your alarm again?” Sean asked me.
“Yes,” I moaned. “And I forgot a pencil.”
“Here,” he said passing one to me.
“Thank you,” I said and smiled.
“Good morning class,” the teacher said walking in. “Sorry I’m late.”
Class was boring. I took notes, Sean looked like he was about to fall asleep, Alex made a paper airplane: the usual. Throughout class, I keep thinking about how hungry I was because I hadn’t had time to eat this morning. I have an hour before my Biology class so I can get something to eat then.
Once the lecture was finally over, I quickly put my stuff up.
“Hey, Breeze,” Sean said now looking awake.
