Chapter 31:

~Sean~

Alex was screaming with anger after a few hours of pacing. I got the chance to be the calm one as I sat in the corner. The real thing that troubled me was that as hard as I tried I could not get in touch with Breeze’s Spirit. I got the feeling something had happened and I was terrified that Breeze might be dead.

“I need out of here,” Alex yelled once again.

Scott got to his feet. “Come here Alex, we are going to blast the door off this place.”

“This should go well,” Wade snorted.

“Why don’t you focus on finding something to use as swords,” Dylan replied.

Sapheron stood up. “When you get us out, I can put a barrier around us so they can’t see or hear us.”

“They will know we are gone,” Gene told her.

“Yes, but they won’t be able to see us,” I replied. “I got a bad feeling. We need to find Breeze and Helena soon.”

“Always Breeze,” Sapheron groaned. “All of sudden she turned up with some powers and you are all over her. She doesn’t even know who you are!”

I glared at her, anger going through my veins towards my once best friend. “I loved her before she had powers, when she was a human. I never wanted her to be a mutant. So what she doesn’t know who I am right now, it will change, she still likes me even in the state she is in. I won’t give up on her Saph.” I let out a sigh and tried to relax. “I know you have feelings for me, but try to get past them. I love Breeze more than anyone. Just…just don’t be too hard on me for what I feel. I didn’t want this.”

“Well,” Dylan said getting to his feet. “Now that we all know how Banshee feels about his girlfriend, can we please get out of here? Scott, Alex, get to work.”

They both smiled at him. “Yes, sir.”

Alex started letting his energy charge, while Scott reached up to take off his glasses.

                “Everyone get down,” Alex yelled.

We all barely had enough time to fall to the floor before there was the very loud sound of Alex and Scott’s powers going wild. After a few seconds the sound disappeared.

                “Okay,” Alex said. “It’s safe-ish.”

I stood up and said some words that kids should not repeat. There may have been a large hole in our chamber so we could get out, but beyond that were about thirty guards with guns now pointed at us, though they looked startled. Yes, for us they would be cake, but still the more people we hurt, the more people wouldn’t like us.

“Everyone put your hands up,” one of the gun men said.

We all did what they said, but looking over at Gene I knew she was about to use this to her advantage. Her eyes were glowing with anger, a look I knew all too well.

                “Sapheron,” she yelled.

A blue light flashed around us in the shape of a bubble, flowed closely by a white one, then a purple one. All of the guards faced turned to complete shock. Sapheron got a smug look on her face and put her hands down. We all quickly followed her example.
