Chapter Nineteen

Chapter 19:

~Alex’s P.O.V.~

                It was really awkward having my brother show up randomly after I hadn’t seen him in years. He seemed to be a little uneasy about something. Logan, Sean, Scott, and I were now sitting in one of the lounges. It was kind of an awkward silence. That was becoming the atmosphere of the morning.

                “So,” Logan said then took a swig of his beer, “what are we going to talk about?”

                “I would like to know,” Scott said, “what my brother has been up to for the last few years.”

                “So would I,” I said. “After all when the police came for me because rays shot from my body and so I caused damage he did nothing. He let them take me away.” I was now yelling. “On top of all that you just happen to show up when my life was just turned upside down.”

                “What happened?” he asked his voice sounding a bit worried.

                I stood up and glared at him. “The one person that matters most to me was taken,” I said. “That’s what.” I couldn’t stand to be in the room with him anymore so I turned and walked away.

                “Alex,” Scott called, but I was done with him. “Alex I came back because I heard the government got you so I had to see if you were okay. I thought they were going to be doing testing on you.”

                I stopped at the doorway.

                “It took me awhile to trace you to here,” he added. “I am sorry about this person. I will do whatever I can to help get them back.”

                “Both of them,” Logan said.

                “What?” Scott asked.

                I turned around and looked at my brother. “This person, Helena, she was my girlfriend, and she has a sister, named Breeze.”

                Sean got to his feet. “Can we please not talk about this now,” he asked giving me sad eyes. I could see the pain in them. “I really cannot think of…what they could be doing to her and Helena as we speak.”

                Scott looked over a Sean. “So I am guessing Breeze is…”

                Sean nodded. “She is one of my best friends and so much more to me. Hopefully she feels the same. Of course I might not ever be able to find out now.”

                “Sean,” I said grinding my teeth, “she likes you. She told you she likes you.”

                Sean sighed. “Yes but she is not here to confirm that.”

                I rolled my eyes. “Just shut up. Really right now of all things you are worried about whether or not she liked you over what we are going to do to get them back.”

                “Well I would rather wonder if she likes me then wonder if I will see her again and if I do whether her body will be cold.”

                I frowned. “Can we please change the subject?” The thought of a cold body Helena made my stomach turn.

                “Sure,” Sean said sitting back down. “Oh and tell your brother I had red glasses way before he did, so it was my trend.”
