Chapter 16:

~Sean~

It took a lot of self control for me not to yell at them. The moment it was confirmed they knew about mutants, I knew the likelihood of Breeze being a mutant shot up to about 95%. If so then it was also possible she was Julia…and if she was Julia then those were her screams I heard earlier today. Man that felt like forever ago.

“Let me start off with saying I have met your daughter,” Professor said. “I have to power to communicate with minds. Your daughters mind is very original. There are some things in it she does not know, though. Some memories you are keeping from her; for instance her true name.”

Mrs. Helguard looked like she was about to cry. As for Mr. Helguard, he looked like he was about to hit someone, and if he did he would probably choose me. That was okay though, it would give a reason to kick him in the –

‘Sean! Keep your thoughts to yourself, and stop projecting them.’ Professor hissed in my mind.

‘Sorry, I will try’, I replied.

“Also, your other daughter,” Professor said, “Breeze’s, or rather Julia’s, sister.”

“How do you know about Helena?” Mrs. Helguard asked.

Professor X smiled. “She is a rather remarkable young lady. She is also one of my students. On top of that I can read your mind,” he said tapping his head with his index finger.

“Right,” Mrs. Helguard said looking nervous. “How is Helena? It’s been eleven years since we have seen her…I thought she was dead.”

“Carrie,” Mr. Helguard hissed, “do not open up to these people.”

“Nathan, they know about Helena,” she replied hardly. “I know you lost compassion for her, but she is still my daughter.” She then looked at Professor X.

He frowned at her. “I am sorry to say that she is also missing. They disappeared at around the same time.”

“When was this?” she asked looking a little frantic.

                “Earlier today,” Professor said.

Mr. Helguard spoke next. “For all you know they could have found out their relation to one another and went off the catch up, assuming they have met that is.”

                “They have met,” Logan chuckled.

“We know,” Lily spoke up with her soft voice, “because they were at least an hour drive away from each other when they disappeared and because Alex was with, or rather could see in his view, Helena, and Breeze was with Sean at her apartment.”

Oh that had done it. Why of all things would she tell them that I had been in their daughter’s apartment? I was already on her father’s death wish I’m sure. I really don’t need their crap right now. It could stand between me and finding Breeze.

“In her apartment?” Mr. Helguard asked, giving me a death glare. “And what exactly were you doing there?”

“Watching her,” I answered, “making sure someone didn’t try to take her again.”
