Chapter 35:
~Sean~
I could not help put smile as she wined again.
“Stop your moaning,” I told Breeze. I was currently in my (well kind of our) bathroom helping her with the cuts she got from her sister. Right now I was work on a nasty one that was located on her arm. “I have not even got to the worst one.”
“Yes, I know,” she snapped while she clenched her teeth. “After you are done, I am going to give myself a sponge bath, go down and eat something, and then go straight to sleep.”
I gave her a frown.
“Boys are so annoying sometimes,” she commented. “Every since I let you have your way with me, that is all you seem to want.”
“And would you like to know why?” I asked as I put a large bandage over the cut on her arm and then paused to look into her eyes.
“I know why,” she smirked.
I put my hand on her cheek that was not bruised, picked up the wet washcloth in the sink, and began wiping the blood off her nose and face carefully.
“That is not why,” I told her after a few moments.
Breeze frowned. “Then why?”
The blood was nearly gone to show the bad bruise that was developing.
“Because when I see you afterward, in my arms, so gentle and open and free,” I told her honestly, having trouble looking into her eyes because I could feel the blush on my cheeks. “It is so unlike the Breeze that the rest of the world sees that I feel honored to see the real you. Yes, it is very pleasuring to me, but admit it is to you as well.”
“Yes, well who doesn’t?”
“True,” I laughed.
She stepped closer to me, studying my face. “Tell me, are you sure that I am so special in your arms afterward, as you said?”
“Yes, I see you and suddenly the world seems complete, or at least my world,” I told her. “And I am not saying this because I feel the need, but I am saying this because I can. I love you Breeze Elizabeth Helguard and one day I want you to be my wife.” I placed my fingers under her chin and carefully lifted her face so she was looking in my eyes. “I want to be the father of your children, and the one that has the honor of coming home to you every night to see that smile.”
Her lips were on mine faster than the blink of an eye. I felt her body light up like the fire she was. Her hands were slowly sliding up my face and into my hair. A moan let out of my mouth as her fingers laced into my curls.
“Was that a proposal?” she asked shyly against my lips.
I smiled and pressed my lips to hers before replying. “I prelude to one. Sadly, I do not have a ring just yet.”
“That’s okay,” she told me. “I am not ready for one yet.”
“Me either,” I told her honestly.
