Just a glimpse of the most beautiful scenario made my heart throbbed painfully. It's when a mother giving her greatest comfort to her child.

Something I never felt even I had a chance to. Something that I never had with my mom.

Nikki is her daughter, they affirmed.

Napakurap ako ng biglang magtama ang mata namin. Oh, God! She is beautiful... they're a perfect match, yeah.

With that enticing blinks from her eyes, she spoked.

“Oh, Hi! I'm Wrañella. I am her mother.” she introduced in the midst of tears of her daughter.

Ngumiti ako, “H-Hello po. I'm Camille Ignacio... the new secretary of Mr. Rovero." I formally introduced even though I looked messy.

Nakita kong natigilan ito sa aking sagot subalit muli rin namang itinuon ang sarili sa anak. She brushed her hair softly.

I sighed. You really can't tell if somebody is already a parent when they have that kind of beauty.

I sighed secretly.

Sign na 'to para itigil ko na ang pag-iisip paugnay kay Mr. Jan. Mananatili na lamang akong empleyado at gano'n rin siya sa akin. The comforts that he gave me will be forever cherished though.

“You'll only work for him for a month, right?” I frozed when she asked me. I did not know that...

“A-Ah, yes, ma'am...” I nodded even though I know nothing about it.

“Why did you apply... knowing that it's only for a month?” Her. She is now more focused on me than to her daughter. The child's sobbing while wiping her own swollen eyes and she is looking at me like she know me, like she love me.

“U-Um, I just grabbed the opportunity, m-ma'am.”

Nagtagal ang tingin niya sa akin kaya yumuko ako at nakipagtitigan sa sahig. Mukhang hindi siya convinced sa sagot ko. Tss! Kahit naman ako ay hindi. I have no idea about it.

Hez suddenly cut off the tension when a minute passed with no one's voice can be heard but the kid sobs. Yes, I got intimidated by her presence every passing seconds. Kung makatitig kasi siya sa akin ay tila binabasa niya ang kailaliman ng iniisip ko.

“Ate, tara na po.” Hez took my bag and pulled me away from them. Muli kong binalingan ang bata bago nagsalita. She is looking at me too and she's now carried by her mother while she is protesting.

I glanced once more but they're now slowly disapearring upon my view. Ang bilis ng paglalakad namin ni Hez, halos patakbo na.

“Miss Rovero, saan po tayo pupunta?” but she didn't listen instead mas binilisan niya ang paglalakad hila-hila ako. Girl!

We reached the restaurant that I was thinking earlier before any of that happened. I was running out of air dahil sa pagod. Hindi biro ang ilang metrong layo nito sa pinanggalingan namin, idagdag pa ang bilis namin.

Oh, my God!

“Ano'ng gusto mo, ate? Do you like that?” itinuro niya ang isang masarap na squid dish. Napatango na lamang ako dahil hindi rin ako sigurado. I don't eat these kind of foods anymore!

“Um, p'wedeng unahin muna ang tubig?” tanong ko sa waiter na nasa gilid ng mesa namin. Tumango naman ito agad at tumalima pabalik sa kitchen.

I averted my gaze on her. She is now holding a menu and is showing it to me. The way she spoke and stare... parang may gusto siyang itanong o sabihin sa akin bukod sa pagkaing binabanggit.
