Bella Meets the Family

(March 13th) Indiana's POV

I forgot to do my homework over the weekend. So mum is making me do it before lunch. Edward is bringing Bella over to meet everyone. They are officially dating now. And have been since Port Angeles. Bella also knows about vampires. Actually when we dropped Bella off we found out that Waylon is dead.

Anyway I'm happy for Edward and Bella. But I am bummed about being the only single one in the family. Anyway I'm on my last work sheet when I hear Edward's car pull up into the driveway.

I look at my last work sheet then the door contemplating going to see Bella and have lunch before doing my last sheet. I can lie and my siblings and dad will cover for me. As long as I do it straight after lunch. Decision made I run downstairs.

"No running in the house" mum tells me.

"Sorry mum" I say.

"Did you do all your homework?" she asks me.

"Yes" I say looking at the others. Emmet smirks and gets back to chopping.

"Well lunch should be ready shortly" she tells me as I sit at the counter. "We're making Italiano for you and Bella" she states. I go ask where Alice and Jasper are. But just then Edward enters the room with Bella.

"Hey Bella" I say with a smile.

"Hi Indiana" she says.

"Hello Bella, we're making Italiano for you and Indiana" mum tells her.

"This is Esme, my mother for all intents and purposes. Indiana the baby of the family" Edward tells Bella.

"Not a baby" I tell him.

"Bon giorno" she says to mum. (Translation: Good morning).

"Molto bene" mum praises her. (Translation: very good).

"You've given us an excuse to use the kitchen for someone other then Indiana" dad tells her.

"This is Carlisle, my father for all intents and purposes" Edward tells Bella.

"So what's you're story? You don't look like a v..." Bella says trialing off looking at me.

"I'm not a vampire yet, Dad is turning me after I turn sixteen. So that I can be with my family forever" I tell her with a smile. "But right now, I'm human and learning everything I need to know about being a vampire" I state.

"I hope you're hungry" mum tells her.

"I am" I tell her.

Oh absolutely" Bella says.

"She already ate" Edward states. Bella gives him a pointed look as something shatters. I look to see Rosalie has broken the glass bowl she had been holding. Looking annoyed.

"Perfect" she snaps.

"I just assumed because you don't eat" Bella says.

"Of course. That was very considerate of you" mum tells her. "We'll just put left overs in the fridge for Indiana" she states.

"Ignore Rosalie, I do" Edward tells Bella.

"Even I hear that Edward" I tell him.

"Yes, let's keep pretending this isn't dangerous for all of us" Rosalie states.

"I would never, ever tell anyone" Bella tells us.

"She knows that" Dad assures her.

"The problem is, you two have gone public now, so..." Emmett says.

"Emmett" mum says in a warning tone.

"No, she should know" Rosalie states and turns to face Bella. "The entire family will be implicated if this ends badly" she tells her.

"Badly. Like, where I become a meal" Bella says. Emmett laughs as Edward smiles and I giggle. Even mum has to chuckle. Edward wraps his arm around Bella. As Alice and Jasper appear from the window.

"How come they're allowed to climb trees and I'm not?" I ask.

"When you become a vampire, then you can climb trees" mum tells me. Alice gives Bella a hug saying hello and hands her some wild flowers.

"I'm Alice. You do smell good" she states. "It's alright, Bella and I are going to be great friends" she tells Edward.

"And you're Jasper, right?" Bella asks extending a hand to him.

"Pleasure to meet you" he says backing away from her hand.

"You won't hurt her, Jasper" Alice assures him. As Edward takes Bella's hand instead.

"Sorry, Jasper's out newest vegetarian. It's a little difficult for him around new people" dad tells her. Edward suggests he takes Bella on a tour of the house. She agrees.

"I'll see you later" Alice says to Bella. Who nods her head and leaves the room with Edward. Mum tells Rosalie to clean up her mess. Then tells me to stay on my stool until Rosalie is done.

"I think that went well" I state.

"It did, didn't it?" Alice asks with a smile. They finish making me lunch and I ate it. Before going back to my room and do my last work sheet. I hear laughter and look out my window. To see Edward giving Bella a piggy back ride as he jumps through the trees. I sigh longingly. "You'll find your one soon" Alice says making me jump.

"Don't scare me like that Alice" I tell her.

"I'm sorry" she says as she sits on my bed. "Anyway, you'll find your mate soon" she tells me.

"I hope so, it sucks being the only single person in the house" I tell her. "At least before I had Edward to hang out with. Now I feel like a third wheel for all of you. Except for mum and dad" I state.

"You're not a third wheel" she assures me. "Anyway, how about a girls night?" she suggests. I nod my head as I put my homework in my bag. Ready for tomorrow. We go to Rosalie's room and we start to talk. As Alice does my nails and Rosalie does my hair. We even brainstorm what my one might look like.
