Renesmee's Birth

(September 10th, 2006) Indiana's POV

So it's been three days since the pack found out. I haven't heard anything from Embry since the first day. But Leah arrived the day after Seth and Jacob. She told me how Sam ordered Embry to stay with the pack and not call me. How dare he, I should go ripe his head off. It took my Jacob and Seth to hold me back while Jasper sent calming waves my way. But I'm still gonna give Sam a beating the next time I see him. Who the hell does he think he is? Keeping Embry away from Luna and I. He has no right to do that. I am Embry's imprint, he is my soulmate and we have a daughter together for crying out loud.

Even then he can't call me. I've been sending him daily photos and updates on Luna. Assuring him, that I don't blame him for not being here. Ranting about how much I want to kill Sam. Who now has the house surrounded. He's been driving the elk and deer away, that I've been calling for my family to feed on. They are all starving and being in a home with two humans (Bella and Luna) isn't helping.

Though there is some good news. We now know what the baby was craving, blood. Luckily dad had some set aside for Bella. Thanks to the blood, Bella also been able to keep down some human food. Her pulse is stronger now. She stands a better chance at surviving the birth and transformation.

Edward is finally on the baby train. He can hear the baby's thoughts and finally realizes it isn't a monster. That he or she loves Bella as much she loves him or her. That he or she loves the sound of Bella & Edward's voices. And mine when I sing to Luna. Finally, all the family are on the same page in regards to Bella and her miracle baby.

Just in time to, dad says she could go into labor any day now. But she needs more blood and my dad needs to feed. So Jacob distracted the other pack with Leah and Seth. Giving dad, mum and Emmett a chance to get away to hunt. Now we can only pray nothing happens while they are gone. Right now, Alice, Bella, Rosalie and I are discussing baby names for Bella's baby.

"How did you pick Luna's name?" she asks me.

"It was one of the ones we had chosen and she has a birthmark shaped like a crescent moon on her shoulder. It just fitted her perfectly" I state. Jacob enters the room with Edward.

"Hey. Are you okay?" Bella asks him.

"Yeah, it's not like I'm the one carrying a demon" he jokes. I roll my eyes as I continue to feed Luna.

"This is pretty important, Bella. Why don't you tell Jacob what you've decided?" Rosalie asks Bella. Who agrees.

"What now?" Jacob asks concerned.

"Rose is trying to talk Bella out of her baby names" Edward tells him.

"She hates them" I tease.

"Well, then I'm on your side no matter what you picked" Jacob assures Bella.

"They're not that bad. If it's a boy, EJ. Edward Jacob" Bella states.

"Okay, fine, that one's not awful. Why don't you tell him the girl's name?" Rosalie suggests.

"I was playing around with our moms' names. Renée and Esme. And I was thinking... Renesmee" Bella tells him.

"Renesmee" he tests. It's a bit of a mouthful. But I like Renesmee and I bet it's a girl.

"To weird?" Bella asks him concerned.

"No, that's not too weird. It's beautiful. And it's unique, which certainly fits the situation. I like Renesmee" Edward tells her with a smile. She smiles triumphantly as Alice returns with her last cup of blood. She goes to take a drink of blood but suddenly her back breaks and she falls to the floor. Edward catches her head before it hits the ground.

I curse silently and race upstairs with Luna away from the spilled blood from the cup. I join Jasper in his and Alice's room. "What's happening?" he asks me.

"I think Bella's in labor" I tell him as we hear Alice call Dad. "Can I please stay here with Luna?" I ask him. He nods wrapping his arm around me as we wait.

It felt like hours passed. But it was only minutes. Renesmee was brought into the world. I helped bath her with Rosalie, as it was time to bath Luna anyway. While Alice sat with Jasper in their room. Edward stayed with Bella injecting her with as much of his venom as possible. Jacob is outside with the other two. Rosalie and I are now in the parlor admiring Renesmee as Luna sleeps soundly in my arms.

"I thin they're gonna be best friends" Rosalie tells me. I smile and nod my head in agreement. She holds Renesmee up and Renesmee smiles down at us. Before she looks at something behind us as we hear Edward call for Alice and Jasper. I look to see Jacob on his knees staring at Renesmee in awe and smile. He imprinted on her, the pack can't hurt her now. She's safe.

Rosalie and I get to our feet as Edward appears with the other two. "Stay with Bella" Edward tells Rosalie and I. We nod and go to leave, Jacob follows looking at Renesmee. Edward suddenly snarls glaring at him and tosses him into the bookshelf. "I'll deal with you later" he sneers. "Protect them" he tells Rose and I. The pack can't hurt her anymore Edward. They can't hurt anothers imprint. But they will only believe it if Jake tells them I think in my head. But her ignores me as he goes outside with Jasper and Alice. I curse, but follow Rosalie to the room where Bella is in. Trying to ignore the blood, burning in my throat.

"Just focus on Luna" Rosalie tells me. I nod and do so. Seeing her focus on Renesmee in her arms. We heard the fight outside start. But also end when Jacob arrives and reveals he imprinted on Renesmee. The pack left.

Except Embry, he phased and got changed. Before rushing to Luna and I. He kissed me deeply and then held me close with our daughter. Promising never to leave us again. He was set free by Sam and will join Jacob's pack. Then when the time comes, his mother and him will be happy to move to wherever my family & I go. So that we can stay together always and raise our daughter.
