Leaving Forks

Indiana's POV

"But we can't leave!" I exclaim. "What about Bella? What about me?" I demand glaring a Edward. It's the morning after Bella's birthday and Edward announced that wanted us all to leave Forks.

"It'd be safer for Bella is we left, she deserves a normal life. And you can complete your schooling in Alaska. We'd see our cousins" Edward states.

"No, I love it here. This is home" I state.

"And we'll come back one day" mum assures me.

"But I have a life here, friends and" I bite my lip.

"And who?" Alice asks. Embry's face flushes through my mind.

"Who's Embry?" Edward asks me.

"Stay the fuck out of my head Edward!" I scream. Jasper sends me some calm waves.

"Language Indiana and Edward don't invade your sister's privacy" mum tells us.

"Indiana, who is Embry?" dad asks me in a gentle tone.

"My boyfriend" I admit.

"There's no Embry at our school" Rosalie states.

"How did I not see this?" Alice asks shocked.

"He's a wolf" Edward states.

"Correction, a future wolf" I grumble. "We've been dating for fifteen weeks, I wanted to tell you all. But I knew how you'd react to him being a future pack member" I state. "But I love him and he loves me. Please don't make me leave him Edward?" I plead tears in my eyes.

"Wolves are dangerous Indiana, do you think he'd still love you once your turned? Once he shifted?" Edward asks me.

"You don't know him" I state.

"What if he's not your one" Emmet suggests.

"And what if he is? What if he is my only chance at true love?" I ask them. "You all have your mates, Edward wants to abandon his and take me away from my potential one" I state. "How is that fair to me or Bella?" I ask.

"It'd protect you both" Edward states.

"Dad, you're the head of the family and coven. Don't let Edward do this?" I beg.

"I don't like this anymore then you Indiana, but it's Edward's decision what he thinks is best for Bella" he states.

"What about me?" I ask him as tears slide down my cheeks.

"You can say goodbye" Emmet states and I glare at him.

"Not helpful Emmet" Rosalie scolds him. Edward kneels in front of me as I sat on the couch. He grabs my hands in his.

"I understand this is hard for you Indiana, it's hard for me too. But Bella deserves a chance at a normal life. If you and this Embry are meet to be, I'm sure you'll be reunited some day" he tells me.

"Do you really believe that?" I ask him. Looking him in the eyes.

"Yes" he says.

"I have to see him, I can't just leave" I state.

"I'll call Billy, let him know you're coming over" dad states.

"I'm sorry you have to do this Indiana" Edward states. I don't look at him. Just head over to Jasper and hug him. He knew what I wanted and sends me calming waves as he stroked my hair.

(Time skip to following day)

"Indiana!" Embry cheers when he opened the door. He hugs me tightly. "What'cha doing here? I thought we were hanging out this weekend" he states.

"Change of plans" I tell him sheepishly. As I avoided his eyes.

"Something wrong?" he asks me concerned.

"Something has come up, a family issue and I have to leave with my family" I tell him.

"Ok, when will you be back?" he asks me. Tears appear in my eyes again.

"I don't know" I tell him.

"Hey, don't cry" he says wiping my tears. "We'll talk as often as you want, just because you have to go away for awhile. Doesn't mean this is the end" he tells me.

"But that's not fear to you" I state.

"I'll be ok, as long as we can still talk. I love you Indiana" he tells me.

"I love you Embry" I tell him and hug him tightly.

"When do you leave?" he asks me.

"Tomorrow, my family is packing while we speak" I state. "Can we spend the day together?" I ask him hopeful.

"I was supposed to go to school, but fuck that. I'd rather spend the day with you" he tells me with a smile. I smile back. We spent the day together watching movies, went for a walk along the beach and had a swim. Before I had to go home. "Call me as soon as you're settled" he states.

"You'll be in school" I state.

"So?" he asks with a smile.

"I'll text" I tell him. We kiss one last time and I left. I meet mum at the border and she took us home. Where everything is mostly packed. We're only taking clothes, books and essentials. Leaving the furniture. We're donating the left over food.

"Everything is packed, plane booked" dad states.

"Why don't you go see if your siblings forgot anything?" mum suggests. I nod my head and went upstairs. I go to my room and to my closet. I find the hidden box with stuff from my dates with Embry. Some shells from the beach, a shiny stone from a lake, photos from a photo booth and a plush wolf. I grabbed one of the photo slides and the wolf. I put the photo slide in my bag and hugged the plush wolf.

"That everything?" Jasper asks me. I nod my head. "I promise, it will get better" he tells me.

"I don't want it to get better, I want to not be leaving our home" I tell him.

"I understand that, I feel how much this hurts you" he tells me. "If you want, I can help you" he tells me.

"No, I want to feel it all. Only use your powers on me as a last resort" I tell him. He nods his head. Alice joins us. "Will we be ok?" I ask her and she nods her head.

"We're going to spend the night at the airport, as the plane leaves at dawn. You both ready?" she asks us. We nod our heads. We all pile into the car and left Forks. I prayed Edward came to his senses soon and we'd return.
