(September 13th 2005) Indiana's POV
It's been 19 weeks since the prom. Tyler and I are just friends now. I've gone to the reserve every weekend and meet a future member of the pack. Though he doesn't know about the pack yet and won't until he he transforms. He's name is Embry Call and we've been dating for fifteen weeks. The pack thinks I'm his imprint as we can't seem to stay away from each other.
In fact we had sex five weeks ago. I haven't told anyone in my family and avoid thinking about it around Edward. Alice doesn't know, as she can't see my future when I'm with the pack. Even Embry, even if he isn't a wolf yet. Though I know I should tell my family, I just don't want them to be disappointed in me or to hurt Embry.
Anyway, I'll worry about that later. Today is Bella's eighteenth birthday and it's Tuesday. We're having a party for her at our house. Just my family, her and me. Alice got me a new dress for the occasion and helped me pick a gift for Bella. It's a bunch of things she can use with the scrap book of her senior she's making with the gifts she got from her parents.
I'm wearing a new outfit Alice got me. Rosalie helped me with my hair. "You seeing the pack again this weekend?" Jasper asks as we waited for Alice to bring Edward and Bella down.
"Yep, Jared says we're going swimming. Who's taking me dad?" I ask looking over at him and mum.
"Alice will be dropping you off and I'll pick you up after work" he states.
"Are you ok Indiana?" Jasper asks me.
"Yeah, why?" I ask him.
"Your emotions have been all over the place for a while, I'm concerned" he states.
"I'm fine" I assure him. He gives me a look. "I'll tell you all later, today is Bella's day" I state. He nods his head as Alice appeared with Bella and Edward. Bella looks great in her new dress, that Alice had given her at school this morning. Edward lead her down to us as Alice joined Jasper and I.
"Sorry about all this. We tried to rein Alice in" dad tells Bella. He gives her a hug, before mum steps forward to give her one.
"Like that was even possible" she states. "Happy birthday, Bella" she says hugging her. Alice takes a photo of them and Bella looks at her.
"Sorry" Alice says sheepishly. "Found it in your bag. Mind?" she asks her. Bella shakes her head as Emmet went over to Edward and nudges him. He whispers something to him and Edward elbows him.
"What?" Emmet asks innocently. Roslie went over to Bella and gave her a gift. As I wen to stand by mum and dad.
"It's a necklace. Alice picked it out with Indiana" Rosalie tells her. Before returning to her spot and Bella smiles gently.
"Show me the love" Alice says pointing the camera at Bella and Edward. Who hugs Bella close smiling. I grab my gift for Bella and hand it to her.
"For your scrapbook" I tell her and she nods her head in thanks.
"Now open your presents" Alice adds pulling Bella over to the present table. It's piled with elaborately wrapped gifts, a huge cake and a tall stack of china plates.
"Alice, Indiana and I are the only two who even eat cake. That thing could feed fifty" Bella says shocked. I giggle.
"Hope you both are hungry" Alice says happily. She grabs a box shaped present, handing it to Bella. "Here, this one's from Emmett" she states. Bella shakes it and there's no sound. She looks at Emmet with a raised eyebrow.
"Already installed it in your truck" Emmett tells her proudly. "Finally, a decent sound system in that piece of..." he starts to say.
"Hey, don't hate the truck" Bella tells him. "But thanks for the gift Emmett" she adds.
"Open Esme and Carlisle's" Alice says handing Bella a letter.
"Just a little something to brighten your day" dad tells her.
"We think, you looking kind of pale lately" mum adds. Bella goes to open and gasps. I notice some blood.
"Paper cut" she says sheepishly. I hear a snarl and we all turn to look at Jasper. His eyes are pitch black with hunger. Mum and Dad get in front of me as Edward pushed Bella behind him. Before going to restrain Jasper with Emmet as he tried to lunge at Bella.
"Stay behind me" mum tells me and I nod my head. As dad went to help my brothers restrain Jasper. I won't lie, I am a little scared. I've never seen any of my family like this before. But I know they'd never hurt me. Alice cups Jasper's face.
"Jazz shush, it's just a little blood" she says calmly. But then my siblings all look at Bella. I follow their gaze to see her arm bleeding. Dad runs over to her side putting pressure on the wound.
"Emmet get Jasper out of her" he orders. Emmet took Jasper outside with Rosalie and Alice. Who apologized to Bella before leaving. "I'll have to stitch this up" he states examining Bella's arm.
"I can get your bag" I offer.
"No Indiana, I think you should stay with your mother" he tells me. Before looking at Edward as Mum leads me away. "Check on Jasper. I'm sure, he's very upset with himself. And I doubt he'll listen to anyone but you right now" he states. Edward goes outside as dad lead Bella to his office.
"Mum, is Jasper going to be ok?" I ask her concerned.
"He'll be fine sweetie, I'm sure your other siblings are taking him on a hunt now" she assures me. "Are you ok? Were you scared?" she asks me.
"I'm ok, just worried about Jasper. I won't lie, I was a little scared. Not of Jasper, I just never seen any of you like that before. I hope it won't affect the progress his made" I state.
"I'm sure it won't" she states.
"He won't avoid me right?" I ask her.
"Maybe, only because he'll be scared of hurting you" she states.
"None of you would ever hurt me, I trust you all with my life. Including Jasper" I state as we reached my room. Mum smiles and kisses my forehead.
"Just relax and I'll see you in the morning" she tells me. I nod my head and she left. I grab my phone and call Embry. After turning on my CD player, to mask my conversation.
"Hi beautiful, surprised to be hearing from you so soon. The party over already?" he asks me.
"Yes, there was an accident. So it ended early" I tell him.
"Want to talk about it?" he asks me.
"Not really, it's a family thing" I tell him. "Speaking of, I'm going to tell them about us" I state.
"About us dating or the other thing?" he asks me.
"Dating" I state.
"Should I be concerned?" he asks me.
"No, anyway mum told me to go to bed. I just wanted to wish you a good night" I tell him.
"Good night beautiful, sweet dreams" he tells me.
"Good night handsome" I say with a smile. We hang up and I turn my CD player off. I changed clothes and did my teeth. Before going to bed.
