Birth and Venom

Indiana's POV

I'm ten days from my due date. We've had my shower, it was amazing. Actually I had two, one with my family and one on the reserve with the pack. The nursery is all set up. Embry is spending the last fortnight of the pregnancy. With his pack and my dad's permission. We're relaxing while watching Underworld.

"Man, they got it all wrong and there's no such thing as hybrids" Embry states.

"Shush" I tell him as Damon as Selene talks to a newly awaken Viktor.

"Are you sure you should be watching that?" Rosalie asks me. "Maybe you should watch something more family friendly" she suggests.

"It's horror night" I remind her. "Family movie night tomorrow" I add. She sighs in defeat. I go to eat more popcorn and realize we were out. "We're out of popcorn" I state.

"Not it" the others all say. I sigh and get up. I feel something wet run down my legs.

"Did you just pee yourself?" Emmet asks with a laugh.

"No, her water just broke" dad states as he appeared at my side. "Why didn't you tell us you were having contractions?" he asks me.

"I thought it was braxton hicks" I admit.

"What do we do?" Embry asks.

"Lets get you to the room I prepared" dad states. Embry carries me there. While the others left to give us space. Only mum, dad, and Embry will be in the room with me. Edward is at Bella's. The other four have gone on their hunt early.

"How far apart are the contractions?" mum asks me.

"About ten minutes, I think" I answer.

"You're roughly six centimeters" dad tells me and I nod my head.

"Six centimeters?" Embry asks confused.

"She has to be ten centimeters dilated before she can push" dad tells him.

"How long will that take?" Embry asks.

"It varies from each pregnancy" mum tells him. "Could be a few minutes, could be hours" she states.

"Hours?" he asks shocked.

"It'll be fine" I assure him. Another contraction hits and I breath through it. "That's another one" I tell dad. He starts the timer. "You know we never did settle on a name" I tell Embry.

"We narrowed it down to three, I thought we were going to decide once she was born" he states.

"I know, maybe you should call your mum" I tell him.

"Right, she'll want to know her granddaughter is coming early. Though she will hate cutting her trip short" he states. He goes to call her and I stop him.

"Wait, don't" I state. "She's been looking forward to this trip forever, we'll just tell her when she returns tomorrow afternoon. Let her enjoy her last night away" I tell him.

"Ok, whatever you say" he tells me. "I can't believe we're about to be parents, it doesn't feel real" he states.

"I know, but we've got this. You'll be an amazing dad" I tell him.

"And you'll be a terrific mother" he states and kisses my forehead. Another contraction hits and I grip his hand tightly. "Another one Dr Cullen" he tells dad.

"Ok, that's six minutes and you are not eight centimeters. Won't be long now" dad states.

"Mum, I'm scared" I tell her.

"Oh don't be scared sweetheart, we're all here with you" she tells me. I smile as she holds my other hand. Soon I'm ten centimeters and start to push.

(Time skip)

After a few hours I'm still in labor. "Ok, I have her shoulders. One more big push and she'll be her Indiana" dad tells me.

"I can't, it hurts!" I cry.

"You can do it Indiana, think of our daughter. Think about her" Embry tells me. I nod my head and another contraction hits.

"Push" dad tells me and I do so with a yell. A baby's shrill cry joins it. I relax feeling relief. "Well it's defiantly a girl" dad tells us as he cleaned her up. After cutting the umbilical cord. "Embry, I'd like you to meet your daughter" he says handing her to him.

"She's perfect, just like you Indiana" Embry states as he sits beside me. Letting me see our daughter. "Look" he says gesturing to her shoulder and I see a crescent shaped birth mark. "Luna" he says looking at me.

"Luna" I agree nodding my head. Suddenly I feel a sharp pain and cry out. Curling into a ball as my vision darkens.

Third Persons POV

"Indiana!" Carlisle, Esme and Embry shout. Carlisle goes to Indiana's side and notices the blood. He curses and lays her flat as he searches his equipment.

"What's happening?" Embry demands.

"She's bleeding, a lot. If I can't stop it" Carlisle trails off. "Esme, take Luna out of the room" he instructs. She holds her arms out to Embry. Who gently hands his daughter over. Esme left the room as Carlisle got to work on Indiana.

"Can you save her?" Embry asks.

"Maybe, if I can stop the bleeding in time. Otherwise, she'll bleed out" he states.

"Why not take her t hospital?" Embry asks.

"No time" he states. "Stay with me Indiana, keep your heart beating" he tells Indiana. As her breathing slows.

"What's happening?" Embry demands.

"Her heart is slowing down" Carlisle states.

"You have keep your heart beating Indiana. I can't raise our daughter alone" Embry tells her. "Carlisle, there has to be something you can do. I can't lose her, I love her" he states.

"I'm doing everything humanly possible" Carlisle tells him.

"Turn her" Embry says.

"What?" Carlisle asks.

"Turn her, it'll save her life right?" Embry asks.

"Yes, but" Carlisle tries to say.

"No buts, she always wanted to be like you and the others. To be with you forever. The Volturi won't let any of you live if she stayed human. Turn her, please" Embry pleads.

"You know there's no going back right? Once I give her the venom, I can't just remove it once it's healed her. Otherwise she'd die, she has to go through the transformation. Which is painful and she'll be out for two days" Carlisle tells him.

"Do it, I plan on marrying her one day and I can't do that if I lose her" Embry tells him. Carlisle nods his head and opens a draw. Pulling out a syringe filled with his venom. "Is that your venom?" he asks.

"Yes" Carlisle says and injects it into Indiana's chest. She convulses and he holds her down. She soon calms down and lays still. "Now we wait, you should go check on your daughter" he tells Embry.

"She's with Esme, I just want stay with Indiana a while" Embry states. Carlisle nods his head. He said he's send the girls in later to changer and wash Indiana. Before leaving. Embry holds Indiana's hand as he keeps the pack out of his mind. "I love you Indiana, I'll love you always. No matter what" he states.
