So I'm eighteen weeks pregnant now and today we find out the gender. Alice already knows of course. I was due to have an appointment two weeks ago. But when I found out if I did it then, I'd have to wait until the new year to find out the gender. I thought hell no, I wanted o know the gender of mine and Embry's baby. So we scheduled it for today instead, Rosalie is at the hospital with me.
Anyway we haven't seen Edward in the last ten years. Anytime on of us have spoken to him on the phone. We didn't mention my pregnancy. I didn't want him to know before Embry. Who I've tried to tell multiple times, but it didn't feel right not doing it in person. So I've been trying to convince my family for us to move back to Forks. Where I wanted to give birth. But so far no luck.
Oh and we've moved into our house. We didn't tell the Denali's of my pregnancy. But we will once I tell Embry.
"Well we wait, I have a gift for you" Rosalie tells me as we waited for Dr Louise.
"I don't want the surprise ruined" I whine.
"It won't be, it's a non-gender specific gift" she assures me. I may not know the gender, but everyone else does. And it's a little annoying. I'm surprised Emmet's been able to keep it a secret and Rosalie. Who is just as excited as I am to meet my baby.
"Ok" I say and she hands me a box. I opened it to see a bell on a chain with our family crest on it. I frown in confusion.
"It's harmony bell, pregnant women wear it during their pregnancies. The pendant emits a soft chime sound as it bounces against mum to be's growing baby bump. Over time, its chime will become familiar to baby who may find the sound comforting once they are born" she explains.
"It's beautiful, thank you" I say and hug her.
"In future the bell can be made into a bracelet for a boy or a baby necklace for a girl to wear" she states.
"I love it" I tell her with a bright smile. "Can you put it on me?" I ask her. She nods her head and puts it on me. Th bell rests on my baby bump. I rub my bump happily as I felt the baby move slight. "He or she loves it" I tell Rosalie and she smiles.
"I can't wait until we can feel it too" she states.
"Well with your senses, you all might be able to feel it in a few weeks" I state. As Dr Louise appears. "Good afternoon Dr Louise" I say.
"Indiana, glowing as always. Pleasure to see you again Rosalie" she says. "Ready to find out the gender?" she asks us. I nod my head excitedly. I lay and lift my shirt revealing my stomach. She starts the ultrasound. "Baby still growing well, strong heart beat" she states. "And it's in the perfect position to show us it's gender, ready?" she asks me.
"Yes, tell me" I say.
"Congrats, it's a girl" she tells me.
"A girl" I say in awe. I had dreamed of having a girl. I know Embry always talked about us having a daughter in future. I can't wait to tell him.
"Well that's everything, see in on January 14th in the new year. Enjoy the holidays" Dr Louise tells us. I thanked her as she handed me ultrasound photos and we went home. Where there was a party waiting for us.
"Seriously Alice" I say.
"We have to celebrate" she states. Mum and dad hug me congratulating me. "Gifts, you already got Rosalie's" Alice announces.
"For you" Emmet says handing me a bag. I took out a teddy bear with a pink knitted sweater that says 'It's a girl' on it.
"Thanks" I say.
"For the ultrasound" mum says handing me a present. I opened it to see a picture from that said 'It's a girl' also.
"Thanks mum" I say. Dad hands me his gift. I opened it to find a book of girl names.
"I know you've had trouble thinking of names and thought this could help" he states.
"Thanks Dad" I say and hug him. Jasper then hands me his gift. It was a shirt that said 'Welcome to our family, it's a girl' on it. I put it on and give him a hug.
"My turn" Alice says handing me her gift. I opened it to see three different baby outfits.
"Only three Alice?" I ask amused.
"Oh don't worry, there's a lot more from where those came from" she assures me. Of course there is I thought to myself as I gave her a hug. "Cake" she says and gives me a cup cake.

"Thank you everyone one, this is amazing" I tell them.
"That's not all" dad tells me. Mum hands me an envelope. I frown in confusion and open it. Tears fill my eyes. It's was a round trip to Forks.
"We know how much you want to tell Embry in person, now you can" mum states.
"You leave Christmas eve and will return on January second" dad adds.
"Just me?" I ask.
"Yes, I'll take you to the airport and Billy could pick you up" dad states.
"No, I want to surprise Embry. I'll get a taxi to the reserve" I state. He nods his head.
"We'll be telling the Denali's and Edward while you're away. Is that ok?" mum asks me.
"Yes" I state. "Just no calls or anything while I'm away. I want to spend time with Embry and the pack" I tell them. They nod their heads in understanding. We continue the party until dinner. Then we watched a family movie. Before I was sent to bed.
