TW: mention of SA

Elsie Granger

I don't know what happened to Draco last night, he was acting really upset after telling me he loves me. Maybe it slipped out and he felt like complete shit afterwards.

On second thought, that's probably what happened.

I saw him this morning for breakfast and instead of being the bright and happy Draco I had seen yesterday, he was sad. Just about as sad as Neville when he thought Norah hooked up with Enzo.

Speaking of Neville, we got the plant back and it's now displayed in our room again for our viewing pleasure.

Every chance she got, Norah would talk to me about all the sweet and romantic things that Neville does for her. From helping her with assignments and opening the door for her to buying her flowers.

Though he came from a good sum of money, he preferred to pick flowers or just spend quality time in the courtyard with her instead of spending money on her.

All the things she talked about softened me in a sense.

I noticed that I haven't been as mean as I was previously and I'm starting to become nice.

Too nice for my own good.

The days went by as they normally did, and Draco came to his senses. We never really discussed what had happened that night in the classroom, but I think it's for the best that we put it behind us.

Just two weeks ago we were mean as can be, and in the last few days, things have changed.

Ever since he broke up with Holly and that night we both could have been sexually assaulted, everything changed.

I don't know if somebody had slipped something into our drinks to make us nicer, or if it was just something in the air.

"Draco?" I cooed.

"Elsie."

"Come for a stroll with me."

He agreed and we put on our jackets before walking out. It had gotten a bit colder, but there was no snow or anything.

Our walk was decently silent, but we both found the silence to be peaceful. We found a bench by the trees and sat on it, watching the creatures in the woods prance about.

The only noises we heard were the creatures eating or stepping on the dried leaves that had previously fallen.

It looked like a typical autumn outside, but it was rather enjoyable.

The ground was covered with a blanket of red, orange, and yellow leaves as well as twigs and branches which had fallen from the trees.

"Would you fancy sneaking off this weekend?" Draco asked.

"To go where?"

"Anywhere really," he paused, "If you feel like going to a pumpkin patch and getting lost in a corn maze, I'll go with you."

"That's stuff that muggles do in autumn, and I thought you hated muggles."

"But I like you," he laughed, "I'm just saying that we can do anything you like."

"I'll think about it," I assured him, 'And I'm not really a muggle, I'm muggle-born."

We walked around and talked before Draco got a brilliant idea.

Making a pile of leaves to jump in.

We went back to the castle and found some gardening tools before grabbing a rake. He raked the leaves up into a tall pile for me to jump into.
