Elsie Granger

The twins and I packed our things, and they packed all they would need for the time at the burrow. We left Diagon Alley. I had both wands, my Sycamore and the elder wand close to me.

Though it wasn't my home and shop we were departing, I felt the sadness they were both experiencing.

We apparated to Malfoy Manor, a place I had never been before, only heard stories about. George and Fred accompanied me to the door.

I knocked and moments later, the door was opened by a woman with black and white hair, probably Draco's mom.

"Hello?"

"I'm here to see Lorenzo Berkshire and Draco Malfoy," I muttered.

"Are you a friend from school?" she asked.

"Yes ma'am."

I tried to seem as polite as possible as this was my first impression of my boyfriend's mom.

Fred and George waved me goodbye before they disappeared into thin air to go back to the burrow. Mrs. Malfoy had invited them inside for a cup of tea, but they insisted that they had somewhere to be.

That was just their way of avoiding awkward conversation or intruding upon somebody's house.

I enter the large manor and as soon as the door shuts, Mrs. Malfoy wraps me in her arms, "It's so nice to finally meet you."

"You too," I smiled and spoke nervously. I wasn't prepared for this yet.

I also didn't realize that she realized who I was yet.

"Draco isn't expecting you until tomorrow," she laughed, "if you hide behind this wall, you'll be able to scare him."

I did as she said and waited until I heard his footsteps trickle down the large staircase. His steps got closer, but they were difficult to hear exactly how close he was.

Draco walked inside the kitchen for breakfast and I jumped in front of him, causing his body to jump. He even let out a small yell as the fear consumed him.

"Bloody hell," he laughed, "That wasn't funny."

"I thought it was," Mrs. Malfoy laughed.

"Even you laughed!" I said.

"What're you doing here a day early?"

"Long story," I muttered, "I'll tell you later."

Draco's mom served us both breakfast which we took to the dining table where we sat beside each other. She joined us a few minutes later, and Enzo was still in his deep slumber.

The three of us brought our plates, silverware, and our napkins to the kitchen for cleaning, and were met by a grouchy man. He was tall and had hair whiter than snow and longer than mine has ever been.

He did a double take as I entered, "Who's she?"

"Draco's friend from school," Mrs. Malfoy said.

"I didn't ask that, I asked who she is," he spat.

"Elsie Granger," Draco spoke for me.

"I didn't ask you, Draco."

"I'm Elsie Granger," I spoke nervously.

"A Granger huh?" he looked at Draco, "Going against your families beliefs about muggles huh?"

"Dad-" he was cut off.

"So, Ms. Granger," he continued, "What're you doing here?"

"I'm staying here for the rest of Spring Break-" I was now being cut off.
