Long time no chapter, but without further ado, I present Muggle Inventions!

I was back in the flat today as I had no lessons to teach and Ron requested the day off. Apparently he's bringing my sister on a picnic today and then they're going to London for a trip. I'm happy for them, even if it means I have to run the wand shop by myself for the day. George stopped over to make small talk, asking how Hogwarts is and how everybody there is doing.

Lorenzo stopped into the shop today as well, he brought along Kiera Wingfield, his new girlfriend. She went to a small wizarding school in America and moved to England for a new atmosphere. Her small school in America had houses, but they were much different to the ones at Hogwarts.

The school was small and had two houses, mainly separated by wealth. Upon her first visit to my wand shop, she made a purchase of an English wand. More specifically an oak wand with a dragon heartstring. I had not done much research about American wands, but I knew they were vastly different.

My weekend date with Draco and Narcissa was rapidly approaching and I was not nervous like I may have been years ago, I was excited. Everything seemed to be happening so rapidly since I graduated. Lorenzo got a girlfriend, Draco and I were back together, Norah is getting married, and Ron and my sister are happy together. It's only a matter of time before I get an invitation to another wedding. And then another.

I'm glad Draco and I made up and decided on getting back together or else I would be the only one not in a blossoming relationship.

I woke up bright and early on Saturday, though I could have slept much, much later. Tonight I'm meeting Draco and Narcissa in Hogsmeade for dinner, and because it's the weekend, I don't need to be back to the flat early tomorrow morning.

It is beginning to get colder outside and the seasons are changing, but the sun still rises and peeks through the window to wake me up every morning. The muggle invention of alarm clocks were made to wake a person at a specific time, no matter what. I prefer to only use alarm clocks until autumn or winter time because of their dreadful noise.

I suppose I should take the alarm clock out of the box so I can begin to use it. Muggle inventions always seemed to fascinate me, but many of them, like the alarm clock, seem flawed and sometimes even pointless.

The one I find most pointless of all would have to be a rubber duck. It just floats in the bath and has no real purpose. With that being said, on one of my trips to London a few months back, I purchased a green and white rubber duck. It wears a tall chef's hat and I simply bought it because it looks nice.

I do not use it in the bath.

This morning I decided to clean my flat and move some decorations around the place. As I did so, I noticed more muggle items I had. A pen with the ability to use four ink colors, sunglasses, and even a baseball which I had found when I first moved in.

I tidied and then made myself eggs and toast for breakfast. The birds flew past my window and chirped softly, making for a calming experience as I ate.

Once I ate and used magic to clean the dishes, I took to reading on my sofa. I was about halfway through a book, and by the time I set it down, I had finished. Without looking at the clock, I would say it took around four hours or so.

I had very little to do today, so I was able to spend most of my time relaxing. At 1 pm, Norah invited me to a dress shop where she would try on a dress for herself and then pick out a dress for me. It was a small shop in London.

As I arrived, Norah had just begun browsing the racks of gorgeous dresses in all different colors and designs. There were pink strapless ones and pale blue ones with long trails. Norah had set eyes on a pale pink dress and immediately requested to try it on.
