I realize the smut has gotten scarce, but the sequel to this book should have much, much more. I hope you understand.

Draco Malfoy

She nags me for getting home late, bitches about me accidentally calling her somebody else's name, and shouts so loud my mom has to come to make sure we aren't dead.

Can't she see I don't want to be bothered. She would complain about a smudge of dirt on her clothes as if she could not just wash it.

She has a thing for fucking bickering. Give me a goddamn break. I come home wanting to sleep, but she would rather fucking yell.

I woke up with a terrible headache and Timothee crying. I'd rather wake up to him than Elsie trying to argue with me. We used to be perfect. I don't know what happened or how it happened.

She shortly came in wearing a black dress with a v neckline. She handed me a glass of cold water and told me to shower or spend some time with the kids today.

Once again, can I be left alone? I took a shower, but that was only because my mom shouted at me to. I am in my twenties, I do not need my mother to tell me what to do and when to do it?

Elsie Granger

I dressed up nicely today to attend a small gathering at Norah's cottage. Norah invited a few work friends and so did Neville, but I was also invited. I had planned to take Draco, but seeing as he doesn't want to talk to me and was blackout drunk, it's best that he stayed home.

I wasn't completely lonely though, Enzo was there as well and his girlfriend was working some special cases for the ministry so she couldn't make it. Norah spent time talking to each of the guests, so most of the time, Enzo and I made conversation.

He was an old friend, so I did not tell him everything, but I told him bits and pieces. We never talked as much as we used to. It made sense, we both have partners and lives and not everything can revolve around a silly friendship from school.

We talked and sipped wine before eating fruits and a cupcake for dessert. The party was very calm, and it distracted me from my marital problems. Enzo offered very little advice, but was fair because he's like a puzzle to figure out.

The party concluded and I went home, only a little tipsy because I don't always drink my problems away. I used to during school, but that was when things weren't as serious.

Draco was still in the spare room though it was mid afternoon now. Narcissa said he had not come out except to make a small meal which he ate in the spare bedroom.

I want and need to know why this is all happening, but how am I to talk to somebody who will not talk back?

Around bedtime, I found Draco wide awake and laying in the bed staring toward the ceiling.

"Why have you been distant? Calling me Holly? Sleeping in a separate bed? Not even wanting to be around our children?" I asked, "Huh?"

"I don't know."

"Liar."

"I feel like I'm becoming my father," he said, "And I don't know how to stop or even how it happened. He left me unemployed and unhappy and the only thing he left me was money and alcohol. What else am I supposed to do?"

Draco broke down into tears and I reached to hug him. Was that the only reason? Surely there must be something more, but for now, I'll take what I can get.

The following weeks got better. He took some time off of work to spend with the kids and offered to help me with the wand shop. Things started feeling a bit better, though I doubt it will last.
