Elsie Granger

I woke up, sweating and screaming, though I didn't intend to scream. The sun still hadn't risen, so the only light was the lamp behind me.

A woman was in front of me, opening and closing drawers, and picking up valuables.

My screams woke up the twins who rushed out in their pajamas. They saw her too. She was masked, though her hair was a distinct color, texture, and length.

Verity, the shop assistant.

Fred ran toward the door and George ran to the window so she had no way to escape without putting back everything she had taken. She didn't appear to be dangerous, but George still shouted for me to get out of bed and stand with him.

The three of us were half asleep which made this confusing. In her hand was a wand, a wand like no other.

It had circular-like bumps running up it.

That's when it hit me.

She had possession of the elder wand.

Neither of the twins had put two and two together as they were extremely calm for the situation at hand.

Where in the world did she get the elder wand?

If we, or I, don't find a way to control the situation, all three of us could die in this flat.

I had no way of alerting both of the twins about it without risking our lives. We're unsafe, and I'm the only one who knows.

She looked toward Fred who tried talking to her, he tried getting her to put everything back. Her arm rose, making the wand easier to use than ever.

George finally put the pieces together and suddenly, the twin telepathy hit Fred. There was no time to waste.

We had all learned about the deathly hallows before and the story of the three brothers. That was about all the knowledge they knew about the wand.

As she was distracted, looking at Fred, both George and I picked up a candle from the window sill. We threw them with every bit of strength we had at nearly the same time. George's throw was a bit faster with mine following.

Everything happened so quickly, as they hit her head, she was knocked to the ground. The candles then hit the floor where they immediately shattered into thousands of tiny pieces.

As Verity fell to the floor, the wand from her hand went sliding across the floor toward Fred. He was standing in shock of what had just happened. He pounced into action and picked up the wand.

That's about when everything clicked for us all.

She wasn't just looking to rob the flat, she was looking to cause some damage.

The candles had done some damage to her, and as she stood to her feet, she stumbled a bit.

There was probably more to the situation, or how she became the one in possession of the elder wand. To everyone who knew her or even just those who saw her working would say she's been a kind, nice girl.

She may have been drunk, drugged, or given this task by somebody else. Though that wouldn't make sense as if she has the elder wand, she was nearly unstoppable.

One thing I knew for sure was that she wasn't very experienced with these things as she dropped the wand.

Verity looked around the room and appeared as though she could faint at any moment, though she didn't. She sat down on the pulled out sofa bed while the three of us stayed in the same place.
