Chapter four| Please be with me

I stare at myself in the mirror thinking if I look hot in this outfit. Will Kayden compliment me with the outfit?

Since when did I start dressing up for boys? I groan, I am going crazy.

I tie braid my hair and again stare at myself for a moment then head downstairs for breakfast.

Chel and I head out like usual and find McCoy brothers heading out too. I wave at Kayden who waves back at me. The wave from Chel to Declan didnt go unnoticed by me. I stare down at her who chooses to look back at me. We both immediately break the stare at the same moment and somewhere but not at each other. My phone vibrates in my pocket. I fish it out to find Criss calling me, "'sup?" I say, 'I need you to pick me up for school.'

"What why?"

'My, uh cooper b-broke d-down." She stutters.

"What!?" I shout, making Chel, our driver, Kayden and Declan looking at me with confusion.

Criss winces, 'you need to chill dude.'

"You shut up!" I turn towards them, "sorry people." I avoid eye contact with Kayden, I sit on the drive seat tossing my bag on the co-driver seat, "I am coming, gimme five minutes."

'Yeah thanks Skyl.' I cut the call and press the accelerator as soon as I hit the road, I don't want to be late for school.

After a song by Halsey I enter Criss's neighbourhood and find her waiting for me on the front porch of her house. She beams as she sees my car and immediately ready to hop in but her lips touch down into a pout when she sees my bag on the co-driver seat, "put it in the trunk." I say and roll my eyes.

She happily tosses it in the trunk and sits beside me, I stop the song & say, "shoot."

"Yeah, so my car's engine wasn't starting and mom went with the other car. I have called the mechanic and he will come and get my cooper in an hour." She says, sighing.

"It's ok, nothing will happen to it." I say patting her shoulder. She loves her mini cooper like her own life, even if a scratch takes its place on the car she goes crazy.

"Anyways, I saw your post and story, how was it?"

"How was what?" I ask focusing on the road, "oh come on, you tutoring Kayden and stuff."

"Ah that. I am not tutoring him, I am just helping him. It was good. He is a fast learner. Oh and I think my little sister has got her first crush."

"Oh, his brother?" I nod, "what's about you?"

"What do you mean?"

"I mean don't you have a crush on Kayden?" I turn my head towards her, shocked.

"what!?" I turn my focus back on the road, thanking god that the road is mostly empty today.

"Skyl... I know you. You like him don't you?" She asks in a soft tone.

I sigh, "I couldn't help it. The way he acts around me... plus, we have also come on the verge of kissing each other... thrice."

She knows that I don't want a relationship, especially when we don't know if that boy is a player. "Wait What!" She shouts so loudly that I'm sure I am deaf now.

"Will you please calm down? I don't want a fucking accident."

"Yeah sorry but you guys kissed!?" She again shouts but this time it wasn't too loud.

"no! I said 'verge of kissing' idiot." I air quote 'verge of kissing'

"But still! I can't believe you didn't tell me earlier, bitch!"
