Chapter Twenty Six| In peace?

"Okay people, I've a project for you all!" We all groan in frustration as our Biology teachers announces, "Yeah yeah I know how muck you all love me. So now let's get with this." After explaining the project I was satisfied since it is a damn easy one.

Until she dropped the bomb.

"I'm gonna pair you all with two in each team & the presentation day would be next Wednesday. I'll assign your partners but you're allowed to swap if I'm satisfied with the team member. Now come here's the list." I waited patiently as to know my partner then she announced my, "Skylar & Noah."

After hearing my partner's name my first question was, who is Noah?

I hardly pay attention to the students in our school. I strictly stick to my business. Then some boy stood in front of me, I looked up to notice a lean guy with soft features, His green blue eyes were attractive along with brunette hair. His features screamed geek. Maybe it won't be bad working with him.

"Hi I'm Noah Seavey." His rough voice said, I nodded with an amused face & introduced myself.

"So now everyone has their partners so get upon the project immediately. I'll give you guys this whole period. Only for today." Our teacher announced. Aubrey walks away not before winking at Noah, I roll my eyes at her then indicate him to sit beside me. I turned around to see who's Kayden's partner. Aubrey.

Wow, I've a flirter as my boyfriend's project partner. I squint my eyes at her then immediately turned so that I don't make my suspicions. Noah & I discuss about the project then decide to meet at Risso's today evening. I head towards my next lecture as Kayden catches up to me. "How's the project going? Is Noah a decent guy? Did he flirt with you?" He rumbles while I roll my eyes.

"It's going good," I cut him off, "and he didn't flirt me, he is decent one so relax." Kayden pouts making me coo at him in my mind, duh. I won't coo at him in public.

"We're meting at Risso's today evening."

"Oh? But you should inside as much as possible." He says softly, "plus you just recovered. If something happened there, then?"

"Kayden... nothing will happen. Relax."

"Okay, only because you insist & I obviously trust you."

"Good. Now it's time for next lecture. So bye." I say, "bye." He leans in for kiss then realises we're in public so clears his throat & steps away. I shake my head at him & enter my next lecture.

Soon we all are sitting in our usual table as I feel a nudge on my foot, I frown & look around the table who did. But everyone is behaving normally. Then Kayden excuses himself making me raise an eyebrow at him. He just shrugs & walks away. I turn towards Criss, "so what's up?"

"Nothings no much." She shrugs.

"Something is," I urge her, "tell me."

"Fine." She groans, "Carter asked me out."

"That's great!" I beam then scowl, "then why such a gloomy face?"

"Because you know I don't do dating & stuff."

"And sometimes I wonder how we become best friends." I laugh & she joins me, "but dude seriously. If that's the only reason then fucking move on from it." She's about to reply when my phone my chips in. I take out my phone check who texted me. A lopsided smile escapes as I excuse myself from the table. I trash my tray before exiting the canteen then walk towards the abandoned music room.

As soon as I enter the door gets locked behind me & Kayden smashes his lips on me. I immediately kiss him back & wrap my arms around his neck. When we separate due to lack of oxygen he mumbles, "I missed doing that the whole day. It was killing me."
