For nearly an hour, Ahad had been in Harraz's office, working alongside him on the designs for the Eco-City concept project. Finally, Harraz closed his laptop and leaned back in his chair.

"Ahad."

"Hmm?" Ahad murmured, his eyes still fixed on the drawings in front of him.

"I really hope you can help us get the Eco-City concept project in Kedah back." Ahad finally looked up. "I'll try." Then he glanced at the design again, a small smile appearing on his face.

"But... with a design like this, I'm confident." Harraz smiled. "This is Nurin's design." Ahad let out a quiet chuckle. "I know."

Harraz studied him for a moment. "So?" Ahad closed the file. "So, let's go eat first. I have something I want to talk to you about."

Harraz nodded. "Let's go." The two of them got up and left the office.

At the restaurant, Harraz was enjoying his meal, eating casually as he talked about work. Across from him, however, Ahad barely touched his food.

He leaned back in his chair, his eyes fixed on Harraz.
Harraz eventually noticed. "If you have a question, just ask."

"Hm." Ahad lowered his gaze, thinking carefully.

He had been thinking about this for a while. And now that he had finally decided what he wanted, he knew there was no turning back.

"Okay." He leaned forward, resting his arms on the table. "I'm going to ask you this for one last time."
Harraz stopped eating. "This is the last time I'm going to ask you."

The seriousness in Ahad's voice made Harraz put his fork down. "Are you sure you don't have anything going on with Nurin?" Harraz's heart skipped.

But he immediately forced himself to remain calm.
He picked up his fork again and continued eating as though the question meant nothing "Yes. I'm sure. I don't have anything with her."

Ahad watched him.

"Sure?"

"Yes," Harraz replied firmly. "I'm sure." The words left his mouth almost too easily. He had said them before.
More than once. Every time Ahad had asked him if he had feelings for Nurin, Harraz had denied it.
Because he had convinced himself that he had no right to feel that way.

Because Nurin was his employee. Because Ahad was his friend. Because admitting the truth would mean admitting something he wasn't ready to face. Ahad nodded slowly. "Why are you asking?" Harraz looked at him. Ahad was quiet for a moment before taking a deep breath.

"Okay. If you're sure that you don't have feelings for Nurin... and you only see her professionally as your employee..." He paused.

Harraz's hand slowly tightened around his fork.

"...then I want to propose to her." Harraz froze.

For a moment, everything around him seemed to disappear. His fingers went still. His chest tightened so suddenly that it almost hurt.

Propose?

He stared at Ahad, unable to process what he had just heard. "P-propose to her... to be what?" Ahad smiled.

"To be my wife." Something twisted painfully inside Harraz's chest.

Ahad continued, completely unaware of the storm that had just erupted inside his friend. "Harraz, I'm ready."
His smile softened. "I've never been this sure about anything in my life."

Harraz looked away. Ahad's voice became quieter, more sincere. "I love her."

Harraz swallowed. "I love Nurin, Harraz." He looked back at him.
