AHAD POV

I decided to visit Harraz's firm today because I had nothing better to do. I arrived at the office and walked inside, immediately spotting the same receptionist from before.

The same one I didn't like.

I ignored her and continued toward the elevator.

While waiting, I pulled out my phone. A message from my ex-girlfriend appeared on the screen, but I quickly locked my phone and slipped it back into my pocket.

I looked around the lobby, and that was when my eyes landed on her.

A woman standing across from me.

I had never seen her before.

She was dressed modestly, wearing a hijab that covered her hair and body, leaving only her face and hands visible. I was surprised because I knew Harraz wasn't usually interested in hiring women who dressed this way.

But then again... I couldn't look away.

There was something different about her.

I walked toward her, unsure why I suddenly felt the need to speak to her.

"Hello," I greeted.

She turned around.

And for a moment, I forgot how to breathe.

She was the most beautiful woman I had ever seen.

Her light hazel eyes immediately caught my attention. They were calm and gentle, yet there was a confidence behind them that made it hard to look away. Her features were delicate — her perfectly shaped nose, her soft lips, and her fair complexion that made the slight redness on her cheeks stand out even more.

She didn't need anything else to make her beautiful.

She simply was.

I realized I had been staring and quickly tried to act normal.

She gave me a polite but distant expression.

"Hi," I said again, extending my hand. "I'm Ahad."

She looked down at my hand for a moment.

Then, instead of shaking it, she simply smiled slightly and nodded.

"My name is Nurin," she said.

Nurin.

Even her name suited her.

Before I could say anything else, she turned away and stepped aside, creating distance between us.

She didn't want to continue the conversation.

And somehow, that bothered me more than it should have.

Usually, people enjoyed talking to me. Usually, they wanted my attention.

But she looked like she couldn't wait to get away.

Damn.

That hurt.

I was still trying to understand why this stranger had caught my attention so quickly when my phone suddenly rang.

I answered the call, briefly turning away.

When I looked back, she was gone.

I glanced toward the elevator, but there was no sign of her.

Then I remembered.

She was here for an interview with Harraz.

A small smile appeared on my face.
