When Zack was young... barely a child, he was great friends with Mira. He liked her since they were small and they followed each other everywhere. Swimming lessons, school, even church. And although he didn't have much faith, he still followed her there too. And that's where he met him.
"What's that Mira?"
"Its for an offering." She whispered. Zack frowned, being too young to understand. Mira barely understood it either, but she DID have faith. So it became easy for her. Zack was new to it all, though. "Offering? Okay... is it good to give a lot?" He asked. "I have ten bucks." He said, taking it out of his wallet.
Kids began to murmur, excitedly. "WOW!"
"ZACK'S GONNA GIVE TEN BUCKS!"
"COOL!"
Mira sighed. "Zack, its not necessarily 'good' to give a lot-'
'Well that's okay, i was planning on using it for the arcade anyways."
Johan...
"Is that your offering? A piece of candy?" A woman asked. The innocent eyes of the small boy reflected a bright light of happiness as he held out the candy in his palm. He believed in God since before his birth. "What did you ask for, Johan?"
The boy gave a big smile. A sincere smile. "I asked for God to heal my mom."
Johan's mom was....
...an angel.
"Oh my! There you go, Mira and Zack!" The woman said, with a bright smile.
"Ugh- this neighborhood is so crappy!"
"ZACK!" Mira scolded. Johan smiled as he watched kids line up for a haircut. "My mom's a hairdresser."
Johan, Mira and Zack sat in small chairs with a white cover wrapped around their necks for the falling hair. Zack sweat dropped. "Ma'am." He said sternly. "I heard you can't see well these days. You're not going to snap my ears off, are you?"
"ZACK!" Mira frowned. Johan smiled, nervously. "Zack! My eyes aren't bad!" Johan's mother laughed.
"Johan! Your mother really IS full of love!! Thank you, sister! For your contribution!" A kind man smiled. He was a preacher, and he had given Johan and his mother a bag full of rice. Johan thought... Were all church-goers angels?
Johan's mother took the three kids' hands and tied a small string bracelet on them. "There you go!" She smiled, warmly. The three kids' tilted their heads, confused. "What's this for?"
"I made them. They're wish bracelets." Johan's mother said. Zack raised an eyebrow. "Wish bracelet?"
"Yes, if you wear it until it falls off, then you'll get one wish granted!" She said. Zack grabbed the bracelet tightly, trying to pull it off. 'I WISH FOR MIRA TO BE MY WIFE! MIRA KIM! HERE COMES THE BRIDE! I WISH FOR MIRA TO MARRY MEEE!!' He thought.
Johan's mother smiled, nervously. "ZACK! You have to wait for it to fall off naturally."
"Mom?" Johan says, looking up at his mother. "Yes, sweetie?"
"Can i... Can i have two wishes?" The boy asks. His mom grabs another thread, tying it to his wrist. "Of course." She smiles. Johan stares down at the two bracelets and smiles. 'My first wish... is for mom, so that her eyes can be healed and... the second...' Johan glances over to Mira who had her eyes shut and a small smile on her face as she prayed for her wish. 'Forever... let me take care of Mira...' Johan blushed, cutely, keeping the second wish stuck in his mind.
