The sun was high in the sky. Birds flying through the bright blue sky, cheerful chirps with each wing flap. It was a cheerful scene to wake up to. Especially after a nap during class. That would be the case, if Y/n didn't feel like her body was being ripped to pieces any time she moved, and was aching from head to toe. It was like every time she moved, her body would scream out in agony.
Her father's "training" was extreme. And that's putting it lightly. It was certainly taking a toll on Y/n's body, no matter how often she would perform the training. She was only beginning, and the conditioning was going to take a while. But what could she do? She placed herself completely devoted to her father's plan. Whatever it was. So, of course, this was going to be the result.
Besides her body being in complete agony, there was also another problem. Y/n didn't quite have enough energy or motivation to do anything else but train. Which meant that the moment she reached her class, she laid her head down on the desk and fell asleep before class even starts. This did not go unnoticed by Y/n's teacher or her classmates.
"Ms. Choi..." The teacher called out, spotting her with her head down for the 2nd week in a row. Zack looked over his shoulder with a curious look. When he saw the girl didn't lift her head, his surprised quickly turned into worry.
"Ms. Choi!" The students whipped around to spot Y/n unmoved. Jay, who sat next to Y/n, gaped slightly, seeing the teacher's face go serious. The students in the class snickered, making the teacher go red, feeling disrespected. The teacher stomped over to the girl's desk, gripping his lecture notes in a tight fist.
"Y/N!!" He yelled.
Y/n's shoulders jumped. She groggily lifted her head, seeing a ominous shadow gloom over her. "I... Sorry..." She croaked, rubbing her sore neck. "I'll pay attention..."
The teacher, who was already fuming, shook his head. "No. This is unacceptable. I let this type of absent behavior slide for a week, but now it's getting out of hand. You're assigned to cleaning duty."
Y/n's eyebrows were knit together in distaste. She rubbed her eyes. "I... can't. I can't stay after school. My father-"
"It wasn't a suggestion! And if you continue to talk back, expect cleaning duty for a week!" The teacher shouted.
Y/n held her ear, annoyed with the teacher's tone and excessive volume. Y/n could feel herself beginning to get heated at his responses. "I have an excuse, sir. I can just tell my father to-" The teacher cut her off. "You don't have a choice, Choi, you will stay because those are the consequences to your behavior."
She frowned again. "Well, don't expect me today or any other day because i'm not staying." She responded, irritated.
The teacher balled his fists and pointed towards the door. "GET OUT--"
"Don't mind if i do..." Y/n muttered under her breath, tiredly. There was only 30 minutes left in the day anyways. She stood up, her things already in hand, but sloppily stuffed in her bag, and waltzed out of the classroom without a look back. The classroom went dead silent.
Jay watched the door as she walked further down the hallway, a blank look on his face. The teacher cleared his throat and slowly returned to the lesson as if nothing had happened.
