The next day Y/n called her dad. She told him about what happened and let him know she had plans on transferring. He sighed on the other line.

"Y/n. You know you can't do that. You have to stay there."

"Dad, if it weren't for you, i would have been long gone, and if i didn't care, i wouldn't have even called you. But i DO care and that's why i'm asking you if you care about me then let me go."

He stayed quiet for a couple of seconds.

"Dad?"

She finally hears him sigh.

"Y/n i want the best for you. And if you don't want to do this then... you'll just have to come work for me then. Go to your school tomorrow to meet with the principal. I'll call him saying your leaving."

"Thank you so much, dad. I love you!"

"Hmph. Love you too."

As Y/n finished the call, she could help but feel something deep inside her ping at her. Her head was all over the place. Was it probably because of the tone her dad had before ending the call? Like...disappointment? She had never heard him ever speak like that. She had always heard him speak with pride and encouragement to her and only her. Was he really...maybe disappointed in her?

Later that day, Y/n showed up around the middle of the school day. She caught everyone's attention the moment she step foot on campus. She wore skinny black jeans, black open-toed heels, a pearl white jacket (probably more expensive than the school). Her hair was wrapped up in a messy bun with stray hairs falling over her face. And for the first time, she wore lip gloss and mascara. That's the MOST ANYONE'S seen her with makeup.

She walked normally through the school, making her was to the office, but to everyone else it looked as if she was a model walking down the runway. Exactly what she was going for.

OH MY GOSH

LOOK AT HER

IS THAT Y/N?

SHE LOOKS EVEN MORE PRETTIER THAN BEFORE

DAMN

WOOAH

Y/n did her best to ignore the constant whispers around her, but it was really hard to since she wasn't used to dressing this way.

"Y/n....?"

Y/n stopped at the sound of the familiar voice. Vasco. She turned around slowly and their eyes met. She swallowed slowly.

"Why...are you dressed like that? Where's your uniform...?"

Y/n watched Vasco's face place a sad expression. She shut her eyes closed.

"I-I don't need this right now." Her voice broke. "I need to go."

"Wait- what?" Vasco stuttered. Everyone in the hallway witnessed Y/n turn her back on Vasco and the Burn Knuckles.

"Y/N? Where are you going??" Jace yelled after her. "Y/N!"

She kept walking and as she took each step she felt a piece of her heart shatter. This is what she gets for getting attached.

Next, she passed the Fashion Dept. She tried to keep her head down and not attract the attention of her friends- classmates... inside. It would only make it harder for her.

"Hey! Y/n!"

Damn it- Zack--

She stopped and forced a smile. She saw that it wasn't just Zack at the door. Right next to him was Jay and Daniel, talking to each other, but quickly keeping quiet once they laid eyes on Y/n.

"Heh, what's the occasion, stranger?" Zack smiled. But then noticed...Y/n wasn't smiling. She hung her head, looking down at her feet. She sniffed.

"Y/n?" Daniel took a step closer to her, but she backed away.

"Hey you guys." She laughed sadly. "I uh...I have to go..."

Jay moved in an instant, grabbing her wrist.

"Jay please..." She felt tears gather up in her eyes. She quickly shut them, pushing those feelings to the back of her mind.

"Jay. Let me go. I'm leaving."

Jay was hesitant but Zack quickly butted in.

"Where are you going?"

She looked up at the two boys in front of her, then looked at Daniel's saddened face.

"Y/n...are you...transferring?"

Daniel asked. Y/n sighed, feeling her heart shatter once more. She nodded weakly then pulled away from Jay's grip. She kept walking towards the office, and didn't look back. It's just a school. They're....They're just people. Then...why is it so hard?

After her meeting with the principal, she stepped out of the office and looked at the empty hallways. For some reason...she felt like she was going to miss this place. Everyone was in class right now. The principal was bummed when she told him she would be leaving. He was actually nice.

"Will you becoming back?"

....

"...Probably...not."

As Y/n walked through the school, to the front doors, the only sound she could her was the loud clack of each step she took in her heels.

Every piece of true happiness...she had here. Compared to her entire life of luxury, it didn't compare to the memories she made here with her friends. She wasn't even here for a long time, but she felt like she connected instantly to them. Zack...Daniel....Vasco.... Jace became a really close friend as well. Hell, all of the Burn Knuckles enjoyed Y/n's company. And she enjoyed their's. Jay knew Y/n since they were young. So he was basically the only reason she didn't go insane with all the drama in her family. All her time wasted in things she didn't even care about.

Money? Fame? She never really wanted that. Sure, the attention was nice at first. But in all honesty... Being surrounded by people...made her feel lonelier than when she was completely by herself. The guys and girls that she became friends with her at this school....brought more light into her life than anyone else could bring.

The dead silence of the hallways and the loud clacking of her heels snapped her out of her daze. She didn't notice her tears had finally fell from her eyes. Now she felt lonelier than ever.

She scoffed.

"Damn it....I hate heels."
