It was actually quite chill to hang out with the band. Of course, it was still a little different to see them in person than just chatting on the internet. Especially the girls had helped to ease the tension in the beginning; Christa and Kristin had simply not given them any chance to be too star struck. Them and Larisa bonded immediately about the pains of waking up at the strangest hours to their boyfriends playing various instruments (while said boyfriends simultaneously loved to complain about getting up sooo early).

This resulted in a flustered Sebastian who then got forced by Ray and Frank to show him his skills and suddenly everyone was sitting in the living room with a drink in hand. It turned out that everyone could at least strum a few chords on the guitar, which Gerard promptly declared a game. One of them had to play something and the rest guessed which song it was. Pretty basic but they were having fun.

Soon everyone was singing and/or doing rhythm for their mini concert. Until Pete's grumbling stomach interrupted them.

Pete being Pete didn't even blush and just shrugged. "Anyone else up for some food?"

"Please, I'm dying," Frank declared and jumped up from his place on the ground.

So the party moved to the kitchen. Or attempted to as twelve people was too much for the room. Kristin clapped her hands to get everyone's attention. "Guys, we're doing this in groups of four. Who wants a vegetarian pizza aside from Frank? You're the first to go then."

Awsten, Remington and Patrick raised their hands at the question and followed Frank into the kitchen to prepare the first pizza.

"Cool, who is good enough with this rolling thing?" Awsten asked as he surveyed the ball of dough and  rolling pin next to it, "or do we just throw it in the air and hope for the best?"

"Sound like a plan." And then Remington had scooped it up and was trying to spin it around on his finger.

This didn't went exactly as planned and ended with a wobbly mass of pizza dough narrowly missing Mikey who had gone to check up on them. He caught it just in time and raised his eyebrows at Frank.

"Hey! That wasn't even me!" The targeted man defended himself. It didn’t sound too convincing as Frank was lying on the floor laughing at his bandmate’s face.

Mikey just shook his head. This was already going exactly like he had expected it to. Utter chaos. "Oh no, you're always in on this. You do know how to do this, right?"

Innocent whistling from Awsten and Remington was his answer.

Approximately 45 minutes later, everyone had their self made pizza in front of them and they were eating with chatter filling the room while Kristin's all time favourites playlist was playing in the background.

It really was a wonder that no one had to sit outside; somehow they all fit into the living room. Awsten was sitting on Otto's lap on the arm chair, their plate balanced on his knee where his boyfriend could take a slice whenever he wanted. Next to them on the ground, leaned up against the side of the chair where on either side Remington with his legs crossed and one kitten in front of him and on the other side Geoff with his knees pulled up. Then, on the sofa were Emerson, Dallon and Ryan all squeezed together with Dallon's arm around Ryan's shoulder. On the sofa opposite to them were Larisa and Christa deep in discussion about the pros and cons of marketing for cheese products and whether it was too disregarding of people with lactose intolerance. Their boyfriends (on who's laps they were sitting to save space) seemed to be listening completely in awe at the ridiculous topic. Frank and Gerard had simply taken the floor next to the door where they were leaning on each other and the wall behind them all while insulting and throwing crumbs of pizza towards the cats when Kristin wasn’t looking.

A few feet next to them sat Patrick perched up against a shelf with Pete half on top of him and half in the bookshelf (looking for the limited editions Mikey had claimed there were). And finally Kristin and Mikey sitting on the bean bag they had dragged out of only God knew what room.

"This shit is so much better than the ones on the road," Gerard all but moaned as he stuffed his mouth. His expression was near orgasmic and Mikey tried not to look too close. Bad enough that he heard things on their tour bus. He absolutely didn’t need to see this face. Ever.

Frank and Ray groaned appreciatively while the rest nodded. Mikey patted his girlfriend’s knee (eyes carefully averted from his brother and his boyfriend’s suggestive smirk). "My baby’s ideas are generally the best."

"Stop it you sap," Kristin complained but no one could be fooled by the pink that dusted her cheeks.

So Mikey leaned over and pressed a kiss to her cheek. This resulted in appreciative whooping from Remington, Pete and Awsten and an eyeroll from Kristin. Her boyfriend had used the distraction and had stolen a slice of pizza from her plate. "Hey, that’s mine!"

"What’s yours is, is mine too," Mikey countered and bit down.

Or tried to. Kristin had stolen it back right from his hand. "We’re not married yet. Mine."

Now the girls ‘oooh’ed while Mikey was pouting. He snatched another slice and Kristin let it go.

"Y'kn'w wha- we shoul'do?" Gerard asked, mouth full with pizza.

Frank slapped him. While Gerard was giving him a wounded look, he said, "Swallow first you fucker."

"That's what-" Pete started snickering and promptly got whacked over the head by Patrick. With a rolled up magazine like a mosquito. "Ouch!"

"Poor Petey," Awsten looked nothing at all sorry for him but kept his own mouth shut. Oh no, this time there would be no borderline embarrassing comments. His boyfriend deserved a break he had decided. Plus Otto seemed so happy to be with all of his friends in one room and Awsten liked to see him like that. And he could be a decent guy if he wanted to, okay?

"What is it Gerard?" Ryan came back to the singer before anyone could spew out more dirty comments.

Him and Dallon had been quiet most of the time, watching what went down around them and listening. To be perfectly honest, Ryan was still hesitant to speak up around the band as they intimidated him just a bit. Dallon just didn’t have much to say and liked to be quiet.

But now he had jumped over his shadow as he wanted to know what Gerard planned. The singer nodded thankfully at him and then continued talking, "Thanks Ryan. I thought about- Frank shut up- karaoke?"

"With a professional singer?" Emerson asked, "isn’t that cheating?"

"Yeah babe, is that really fair? You really want to lose against a few kids?" Frank was cackling at his own joke.

Gerard had to stop himself from physically tackling his boyfriend. "Fucking try me asshole."

"I like that," Kristin interjected and nodded excitedly, "Chris? Larisa? You wanna start with me?"

"Absolutely"

And up they were. It might be possible that they had drunken one or two glasses of wine in the kitchen and were now slightly tipsy. Larisa dragged Christa with her and Kristin into a quiet corner where they decided on a song (under the amused eyes of the men in the room as no one had expected that, least their boyfriends).

Satisfied with their choice, Christa took the phone and started the instrumental to Single Ladies. Kristin handed out makeshift microphones (two bottles of shampoo and a brush) and they started singing.

The drunken giggles made it hard to understand them at first but soon they grew more confident. At one point, Larisa had jumped on the little coffee table and was shaking her hips to the beat. Sebastian looked a pleasant mix of turned on and amused and it gave Larisa another boost of confidence. The guys were laughing with the girls but had to admit that their voices weren’t half bad when they really tried.

All too soon, the song was over. Sebastian was clapping the loudest. "Never knew you could sing like that."

"Yeah, darling your voice is awesome," Ray agreed and ruffled Christa’s hair as she fell back down on her lap.

All of them were out of breath. Their smiles were equally as wide though.

"My turn!" Awsten declared unexpectedly and dragged Otto with him, "you’re at least doing drums."

And then it was on. They took turns, selecting their favourite songs and singing them over an instrumental or in Frank’s case, playing the rhythm on the guitar. Of course, Pete shamelessly selected a My Chemical Romance song and made Patrick sing it for him. At first he was stumbling over the words in the face of Gerard Way himself. Gerard Way himself though was thoroughly enjoying this and decided to make it a duet. Their voices contrasted each other perfectly and soon it was the only thing filling the room. Everyone else was just listening on, Ray playing the guitar, Otto drumming the rhythm on the ground.

As soon as the last chord was played, Patrick turned to his boyfriend to kiss him or slap him for forcing him to sing Cemetery Drive (he hadn’t decided yet). But the words got stuck in his throat.

Pete was behind him on one knee with a goofy grin on his face. "Patrick, light of my life."

Quiet laughter and a glare from the dumbfounded man.

"No seriously. Baby, I love you. And you know that. At least I hope so," Pete started, breathing in deeply.

His eyes were locked on Patrick but he could see in the corner of his eye how Kristin ushered everyone outside like he had asked her to. Fuck, he was nervous. His boyfriend was looking at him like he had grown a second head and he was starting to regret this. No going back now though. Another breath. "Anyway. Patrick, we’ve been together since high school and friends even longer so it’s safe to say that you know me better than anyone else and vice versa. Let’s be honest, you know that I won’t survive without you saving me from half the shit I do. And wouldn’t it he incredibly boring without me?"

At that, Patrick chuckled which he took as good sign. Pete had had this whole speech and not one of the words coming out of his mouth had been on it. Even the dumb ring wasn’t where it was supposed to be. Still, it felt right. And the soft smile on his boyfriend’s face gave him confidence to finish this.

"Babe, you know what’s coming now. Will you marry me?"

Silence. Then a sigh. "Oh you asshole."

Wait what?

"I wanted to propose to you! I had it all planned out and then you come with this?" Patrick almost looked angry but the huge grin betrayed him.

Pete wasn’t entirely sure how to react to that. "is that a yes?"

"Of course it is," Patrick rolled his eyes.

Then, he fell down to his knees and kissed him like he was a starving man and Pete was the first plate of delicious food he saw in a week.

"Please tell me that everyone is still clothed, we have guest rooms for that," Mikey’s amused voice came from the door way.

For a second, Pete thought of ruffling their appearance just a little more but considered that he probably saw worse. Instead he simply rolled back into Patrick’s side where he had been for the last half an hour. "We might take you up on that later."

And then everyone else came back into the room, Kristin with a knowing smile and the rest with curious looks. "I’m assuming it went well?"

"Well? I haven’t seen these two so in love since senior year!" Awsten exclaimed, "you better be engaged or whatever now."

"Actually, we are," Patrick confirmed, all smiles.

In retrospect, they should have known that Awsten wouldn’t let such a statement go without a cuddle pile. Still, Pete had hoped for Patrick’s sake that it wouldn’t be too suffocating but the boy simply dragged Otto and Geoff with him which entailed the Kropp brothers and Larisa. And Gerard and Frank were a must so Kristin and Mikey (although reluctantly) followed suit. Only Ray, Christa, Ryan and Dallon had the decency to not suffocate them and even helped to unearth them.

"I’m so happy for you!" Gerard said with honest excitement.

Otto grinned too as he patted them on the back. "Not that we expected anything else."

"I call dibs on best man!" Awsten shouted and ducked away from the bottle of champagne Kristin handed over.

After the glasses were passed around, Kristin toasted at the engaged couple. "To Pete and Patrick. The old married couple who got engaged in my living room and looks absolutely happy right now. Kiss kids."

Under laughter, Mikey took the glass right out of her hand. "That was enough alcohol for you babe."

"Not fair," she pouted, enticing more laughter.

After everything had settled down again, Frank had proposed a game of twister. Loud groaning but even louder laughter and approval were his answer.

So Mikey got sent out to find the twister map while Dallon wisely claimed the role as moderator. Smart boy.

Not even ten minutes later, they were a tangle of humans, Pete being the first casualty. He had lost his balance as he had to reach between Larisa and Ray all while having his weight only on his left food. Needless to say that he took Ray down with him.

That gave them the opportunity to comment on every move the others did. "No Remington, that green is better. You’re gonna break your neck otherwise."

"Or my face is in Kristin’s boobs. I’d like to live another Day, thank you very much," Remington complained, desperately trying to keep his face free of any boobs. He didn't have the energy to deal with potential pissed off boyfriends.

The comment sent Larisa into a fit of giggles which shook her so much that Frank (who was leaning right under her) almost lost his footing and slipped. He caught himself last second and sent a glare towards Remington’s thigh.

"Sebastian, left hand on red," Dallon interrupted before it could escalate.

With a grunt, Sebastian freed his hand and stretched his arm out over Gerard’s stomach. Who shook his whole body in response. That was too much for Frank. His head had been trapped right under his boyfriend’s shoulder blade which had knocked into him in the process of shaking and made him fall face first into the mat. "Fuck!"

"Come over buddy," Ray waved cheerfully with a can of beer.

Frank accepted it, rubbing his head and then pressing the cold metal to it. He sighed relieved.

"You okay over there, Sugar?" Gerard wanted to know and tried to bend enough to see him.

"You’re sleeping on the couch," Frank informed him in return.

"Hey!"

"Otto, right foot on yellow," Dallon once again stopped a fight from breaking out.

The foot in question had absolutely no physical chance of getting there as Geoff’s left arm and Emerson’ torso were completely blocking the way. Otto sighed and moved around a little until he was certain that there was no way. "Can’t."

"Then you’re out!" Awsten sang, far too deep into the competition to be sensible.

This went on like that for a good half an hour until surprisingly a tie between Kristin and Larisa ended the game. They declared each other winner and neither had much motivation to keep it going after everyone else had lost.

"First I learn that you can sing and now I see that you’re bendy, too? What is there more to learn oh mysterious lady?" Sebastian joked as he pulled his girlfriend down to him on the ground.

Larisa laughed and planted a lazy kiss on his cheek. "So much more."

"Who’s up for bad horror movies?" Mikey asked, not waiting for an answer.

The DVD was already in the cache as he started the TV and everyone settled down around it. Kristin passed out blankets and pillows for them to get comfortable and then Mikey pressed play.

It was a nice finish for the night as half of them fell asleep during the movie from the earlier exercise and the other half talked over it quietly.

In the end, no one went to the hotel they had promised to go to and all crashed at Mikey and Kristin’s.

This had absolutely no reason to take so long to write, what is that? I know the end is kind of meh, but I also like it like that so it stays. Hope the proposal wasn't too out of the blue but I think it fits for these two.

Also, the next day will be in chat form again 1. Because this was far too exhausting to write and 2. Because I wanted to break them up either for different activities and the pov switches would get annoying pretty fast

That's enough rambling from me, I promise

Love you guys and stay safe💜
