11. More troubles

Mal pov:
Beginner mistake Evie. Back in Auradon, wonder water didn't work on me either!
I felt that I changed.
My veins became thickened and my skin turned green.
My eyes shot open wider than usual and Eliza pushed Evie away.
"Everyone, keep your distance!" Eliza yelled.
I looked furiously at Sean. It was his fault.
"Gar Za Bar!" I roared.
"Translation?" Harry asked.
"She wants to kill Sean." Eliza said shortly.
I wanted to walk towards Sean but Bonzo grabbed me.
"Bo Zi Ka."
"Translation?" Harry asked again.
"Bonzo tells Mal to stay calm."
Harry looked at me.
"Mal, calm down."
I growled a bit and Bonzo locked me in my room.
I heard that Kaylee was staying with Evie and Eliza. This was Sean's fault. If had he not blurt out Skye's secret, Zed's Z-band would not have become unstable. And he wouldn't attack Addison, who I pushed away turning me into a zombie I furiously banged on the door.

And after a while I broke through.
"She's stronger than hoped!" Eliza yelled.
I saw Harry looking quite surprised but grinning.
"Bonzo stop her. I have to find Zed. He'll know something." Eliza said again and she sprinted away.
Bonzo pushed me back into the room and he stopped in front of the door.
"Bozki gar za da bar!"
"Botzki!"
I banged on the door and wanted to get out of there. I wanted to (disgustingly enough)  eat brains...

Zed pov:
I looked at Skye.
"You're amazing Skye. It's just stupid that Sean can't see that."
"But that was no reason to attack Mal."
"It didn't happen on purpose!"
"Look at us. We isolate ourselves off from our groups. And you just kissed me."
"How is it even possible...?"
"Nobody can touch me for the whole ghost thing but you and Mal can."
"Mal?"
"When I heard you were alive in the meteor, a tear rolled down my cheek and Mal wiped it away."
"And I just kissed you."
"I really like you Zed but you can't do this to Addison."
"I just don't know what to do."
"I do." "Huh?"
"Go back to the others."
I looked at Skye, that feeling was there again and (stupid enough) we kissed again.
"I knew it!" a familiar voice shouted.
Skye and I both looked up in shock.
"Eliza?!" I said in surprise as Skye and I quickly got up.
Eliza glared at me.
"How can you do this to Addison?!"
"I... um..."
Skye sighed.
"It's my fault... Don't say anything to Addison. Then Zed is the jack..."
Eliza looked at me.
"So you don't feel anything for Skye?"
"No." I lied.
Skye closed her eyes. That hurt her anyway.
"Skye..."
"No, Zed. Never mind." And she flew to the hotel.
I looked at Eliza.
"Why did you came?"
"Mal is zombie and we have to come up with something."
"Make a Z-band. You're super smart Eliza. You know that, right?"
"But how am I supposed to do that?" "Compare the materials of your own Z-band with the materials you can use, find a computer and you make a Z-band."
"And you claim I'm the smart one?"
"Yeah, because you'll get it done. I'm sure of that."
"Thanks Zed."
"No problem."
"I won't say anything to Addison." "About what?"
"I saw you kiss her first and heard your whole conversation."
"You what?!"
"Relax. I'm not saying anything."
"I know you're dying inside to see Addison hit me in the face again."
"She did it twice and I didn't get to see it!"
"Don't tell her! I'm not even sure..."
"You and Skye?"
I nodded.
"It sure is. But not too obvious. Hold on to that, or Addison will know it faster than you can say brain."
"So you don't say anything?"
"I won't."
"Thanks Eliza."
"No problem. I have to make a Z-band. Will you join the others?
The new assignments have been brought."
"Yes let's go."

Skye pov:
"Aaah!" I screamed and I threw the assignment letter away.
I put my hands on my head and paced the room.
"This is crazy. I'm not going to do that. But if I don't, Zed and I will die anyway because if someone doesn't complete the assignment, the duo will die! This is crazy!"
The door opened and I turned around.
"Ah! Zed!"
"Wow, calm down."
"Sorry... I'm freaking out a bit."
"How come?"
"Not important."
"Do you already have the new assignment?" "Not important."
Zed looked at me with a slanted eye.
"Is the new assignment the reason you're flipping?"
"Not important...?" I said doubtfully. Zed sighed.
"Skye. What's our new assignment?"
"It's over there by the window..."
Zed walked over to it and I dashed out of the room.
You are probably wondering why. Well the assignment is pretty cool! It literally said-
"Skye! Hold on!" Zed yelled.
I bit my lip and turned around again.
"Yes?"
"The assignment... We..."
"I know... We can't do that... But if we don't, we're going to die..."
"So we're going..."
"Are you crazy ?!"
"No, but I want to live!"
"I get that..."
"What, a world that forces us to date? Pretty crazy..."
"What are you going to say to Addison then?"
"What are you going to say to Sean then?"
"Sean and I are not a thing! You and Addison are!"
"But you also know what happened yesterday!"
And that hurt.
"So you don't feel anything for Skye?" Eliza asked. "No." Zed said.
HE SAID NO!
I shook my head.
"But was it all meant?"
"Of course I meant it!"
"You jerk!"
"How's that?!"
I felt really hurt and wanted to fly away but I flew into Addison.
"Oh, sorry Skye."
I ignored her and flew away.
So Zed thought he didn't feel anything for me... A tear slipped down my cheek.
I thought Zed actually saw me.
Okay, I urgtolded him to stay with Addison, but this really sucked.
Eliza walked over to me.
"Hey, Skye. I want to test the Z-band I made on Mal. Do you want to help?"
"Why me?"
"Because you are a ghost."
"You know that Mal and Zed can touch me and no one else because of the ghost thing?"
"Yes, but as a ghost you can only die from water." "Great..."

Moments later I walked into Mal's room and clamped on the Z-band.
"Mal, I want to help you."
"Gar Za!"
"Calm down... Look, I've got a Z-band for you." And I showed the Z band.
Mal seemed reassured.
"Give me your hand. I'll put the band on your wrist."
"Bar Za Da Gar!" And Mal lashed out. I bent down and looked at Mal angrily.
"Are you serious?! If you don't put this band on you can't get close to Harry! Don't you understand?!"
I whistled between my fingers and Harry entered the room (tensely).
I gave him the Z band.
"She only trusts you. You have to try. I'll be here if things get out of hand." I said softly and Harry nodded.
He walked to Mal carefully.
"Hey Mal. Trust me. I'm just helping you."
"Gar gar ga za!" said Mal, taking Harry's hand.
He chuckled.
"Yes... Trust me..." And he quickly put the Z-band on Mal.
Mal shook a little and her veins seemed to be getting a little more normal. But her hair turned green except for certain strands.
"Holy shit..." I exclaimed.
Mal looked up carefully.
"I'm not completely zombie anymore..."
She looked at Harry and hugged him.
He chuckled.
"Are you okay?"
"Yes."
I sighed and went to Evie & Eliza's room.

I knocked on the door.
"Eliza, your Z-band worked!"
"Really?! That's so cool!" she said as she opened the door.
I walked past Mal's room again because the door was still open. I was shocked to see Mal eating Harry's brains.
I screamed and shot up. It was a dream. I jumped out of bed and ran to Mal's room and knocked on the door.
Kaylee opened the door.
"Skye, are you okay?"
"Yes. How's Mal?" "Eliza's Z-band works and she hasn't attacked anyone."
"So that was only a nightmare."
"What?"
"That she had killed Harry."
"No, she didn't! Why would she?!"
"I don't know..."
"Are you okay?"
"No. I'm totally blown away by the assignment from me and Zed..."
"What is it?"
"Zed and I have to date from tomorrow!"
"For how long?"
"A week at least... I think..."
"Zed and Skye. Finally!"
"No! Zed can't do that. Addison will be devastated."
"But you like him, don't you?"
"But he doesn't like me."
"Are you sure?"
"He said that himself... But I just came to check on Mal..."
"If you need anything, please tell me."
"It's okay Kaylee."
I walked back to me and Zed's room.

When I closed the door and turned around I was shocked.
"Zed! I didn't wake you up, did I?"
"No. But about yesterday. Why did you react so furious?"
"I asked if you were serious about that stuff. And you say yes too..."
"I thought you liked me too."
"Yeah, I do too! But you thought you didn't have feelings for me. And that hurts, Zed."
"Wait, I thought you were asking if I meant those two kisses."
"And you said yes to that... I'm so sorry Zed. I thought about Eliza saying you had no feelings for me and you said no. That's what I meant."
"What? Of course I didn't mean that!" Instead of saying something else, I laughed. "Thanks Zed..." "Tomorrow we'll find a way to get you normal." "We'll see." "How so?" "First you must be honest."
"Yeah, you're probably right..."
"Would you think?"
He laughed and I felt great!
