12. Suprises

Mal pov:
Kaylee and I had been tasked with making sure there were no fights or arguments.
So almost the same as last week... I had to get used to that whole zombie thing.
But that Eliza can also just make such a Z-band. Maybe Eliza is even smarter than Evie...

Anyway... Things already went wrong that morning.
Sean and Zed (the two of them) were arguing again.
"Boys stop it!"
"Don't interfere, Freak!" Sean yelled.
"Cut it out, Sean!" Zed yelled.
"Guys!"
They ignored me and I became furious.
And finally I turned into a dragon once again. But now I wasn't completely purple anymore. Lots of green indeed.
Sean and Zed both stopped arguing and looked at me in shock.
"You're a dragon?!" Zed said in surprise.
"Dragon, zombie, magic. Yep a real Freak!" Sean said mockingly.
I glared at him and he was silent. I turned back and looked at those two.
"Are you going to tell me what the argument was about?"
"Just about those stupid assignments..." Zed muttered.
"What are your assignments then?"
"Skye and I's assignment is quite... Complicated."
"Dude, you should date her. How hard is that!?" Sean said angrily.
"I can't help it!"
"No, but you want it oh so much!"
"You're just mad because you already know Skye doesn't like you anyway!"
"You take that back!"
"I can't take the truth back Sean! You should understand that!"
Sean hit Zed savagely in the face and Zed chuckled.
"Oh you'll regret that."
He was already lashing out but I stopped him.
"Guys! Come on! Sean, Zed can't help but notice that this is his job and what his feelings are. Zed, you can't bully Sean about dating his crush and ex. That's just low."
Zed lowered his fist again, both boys mumbled something and they walked in different directions.
I felt a hand on my shoulder and turned quickly.
"Harry!" "Well hello to you too?"
"Sorry. What is it?"
"You only turn into a dragon when you're angry or frustrated. So I'd have to ask what's wrong..."
"Fine, I'll explain."
So we went to a place which was a bit more quiet.

Zed pov:
That stupid Sean too.
I can't decide what an assignment I and Skye get... That's when I saw Addison. Skye had already told Sean but he freaked out… How would Addison react? She probably wouldn't believe it...
"This is going to be fun..."
"What's going to be fun?"
I was startled and turned around.
"Addison! Er..."
"Is everything okay?"
"Well..."
"Zed?" she said suspiciously.
I sighed and handed her the letter of assignment.
She unfolded it and read it.
"You... what...?"
She looked at me with a somber look.
"Is that really your assignment this week?"
"Addison I -"
"Why are you using such a lame excuse?! If you like Skye just say so!"
And she gave me a classic Addison right punch.
"Wa-"
"Keep your excuses with you!"
She walked away angrily and I looked after her in suprise.
"Weak excuse? But it really is!"
Addison ignored me and I suddenly felt pretty bad.
"So Zed, that was smooth. Did you tell her you kissed Skye?"
"Not so hard! And no, not that."
"Zed!" she said irritated.
"It's not easy okay!"
"Then I'll say it!"
"No! I've got enough trouble! I'll tell her..."
"Fine. Me and Evie need to get on with our assignment. What's yours and Skye's?"
"One of my problems..."
Before Eliza could ask anything more, I left.

Skyw pov:
"Sean! Are you insane!?"
"Should you say! Dating a zombie who can't control himself?! Really Skye!?"
"Then why are you always looking for reasons why he doesn't focus on his Z-band?! If you hadn't told him I liked him, he would never have attacked Mal!"
"And you believe that?!"
"You made him lose his focus. It's not his fault, it's yours!"
"Sure! Now it's my fault!"
"You're just jealous you lost me!"
"Do you think it's crazy?!"
And Sean's expression went from furious to defeated.
"What do you mean?" I asked confused.
"I made a mistake Skye. I should have stayed with you! But now I've lost you to a zombie. A zombie, Skye! Do you know how that hurts?!"
"You're jealous of a zombie? And then you call me a freak!"
"Skye, I didn't mean that. You might be a ghost now, but I still like you!"
"But I'm not you. I want to be friends but you're not a best friend anymore, Sean. You have to accept the others as they are. Zombie, werewolf, ghost or magic. They are all unique and wonderful too. I wish you could see that too."
"Funny of you to say that. That's Addison's and I's job. She's got to help me stop hating the others."
"So she will die because of you. And so will you. What a jerk you are!"
I wanted to fly away angrily but Sean looked at me too surprised.
"What do you nean we'll die?"
"You know why!"
"If you'll tell me what you meant by dying!" "EverTown will kill anyone if they don't complete the mission. He said that before turning me into a ghost."
I left Sean stunned. That jerk...

That night I couldn't sleep. Strange... Zed was gone...
I sighed and flew around.
At the lake I saw something. But I couldn't recognize what it was... Or could I?! That was impossible!
"No!" I yelled furiously/surprised.
I flew there quickly, but it was too late.
"What have you done?! Why would you!?"
