"Papa please." I begged, on my knees, as he sat on his throne, peering down at me with a gun in his hand. "Niña, with each mistake you make, you fail to live up to our deal, therefore punishment must come." His voice was loud, annoyed, as he reminded me once again.

"Papa, I can fix this," I reason with him, keeping my head low as I was taught when directing to him on his throne.

"No loose ends Niña, that's what we established. You failed me and now I must punish you for your actions," He waved his hands and two guards pulled in an older man.

"Tell me, what's your name?" My father began when the guards had made it up to him. "Papa please." I whispered, on the verge of tears.
"Niña, don't you know it's rude to interrupt?!" He snapped at me and I flinched at his harsh tone.
"I apologise." I mumble.

"Sorry, what's your name?" My father snapped his head back to the man. "Mark," the old man replied shakily. "Now Mark, tell me about yourself." My father smiled at the poor man.

"I'm 63, my beautiful wife passed away a few years ago so I was left alone with my three kids and their kids. I work at a family bakery and provide my local town with fresh baked goodies each and every day. I do a lot for the society actually, litter picking, flower planting and much more." He spoke about it like it was a lovely memory which took him away from the reality for a moment- I wish I had that.

I know my father was asking him so I felt guiltier than I already do.

"Now Mark, meet my daughter." He introduced us and I looked up at the poor elderly man, barely able to stand still with the guards gripping into his arm tightly. He had wrinkles which he wore as a memory of all the good times he has had, his grey hair was short and he was starting to go bald in certain areas. He wore typical grandpa clothing and had a watch on his wrist which looked rather old- a gift perhaps?

The man offers a respectful smile and a gentle nod.

"Hello, Mark." I smile through my guilt and pain.
"Now, she will be taking your life today." My father announced with delight and the mans eyes shot between me and my father with shock.
"W-What do you mean?" The man tried to stay calm but I knew he wasn't.
My heart dropped, aching so fucking much for him.

"She had failed her task and now she kills an innocent on her behalf." He grins proudly at his own idea. Handing me the gun he nudges me towards Mark.

I click the safety and point it towards him. "I'm so, incredibly sorry." I whisper, my eyes watering again but I quickly pat them away. "Any time now, Niña." My father urges from behind me.
"It's alright dear, please tell my family that I love them." He gave me an understanding yet sad smile and I nodded, my lips thinning out as I bit down on them, trying to keep my sob in.

I press down on the trigger and in the same second, the man was dead.
I dropped the gun to the floor and left the massive hall immediately.

My eyes felt heavy as I finally started to gain my consciousness back. My head was pounding and it was forcing my eyes shut.

"Lilith darling?" I heard my mother's concerned voice and I furrowed my eyebrows, trying to open my eyes. "It's okay, just rest. I need you to take these pills though." She mumbles, taking my hand and placing a total of three pills of different shapes onto my palm as well as a glass of water into the other.
