Nicole’s POV
I run my hand up and down Liam’s chest, tracing invisible patterns. We are in bed after the birthday party we just threw. Tonight is Liam’s birthday and we had a great time with all his friends and family. And now we’re here, together in the apartment.
I bring his lips down to mine. His arms instantly wrap around me as we deepen the kiss. Kissing Liam is something I would never get used to. It was like nothing in the world mattered except the two of us. It was perfect.
“you know…” I say kissing his jawline “I still have one more present for you”
He smiles down at me “really?” he says raising his eyebrow
“yeah” I say with a smile, a little part of me nervous “you know I’ve been thinking over the last month or so and…. I’m ready” I say looking into his eyes
His eyes widen in shock “what? Are you sure? I mean just because it’s my birthday and –” I cut him off
“I’m sure. I love you and I want to. There is no other person I would rather be with” i say
“well if you’re sure” he says
“I’m sure” I say bringing his lips to mine.

“well happy birthday to me” Liam says cheekily as we cuddle under the sheets
“I think that was more of a present for me” I tease
“wanna do it again?” he asks jokingly
“LIAM!” I fake appalled
He kisses my forehead “just kidding”
“I love you” I say snuggling close to him
He smiles “I love you too”
I slowly drift off to sleep, peacefully in Liam’s arms

The next morning I shrug on one of Liam’s hoodies and head out to the kitchen to make pancakes. I cannot help but smile. I never thought I could ever be this happy, but I am. I felt like a new person and that nothing could ever bring me down. As long as I had Liam everything was fine.
Liam strolls in with just a pair of boxers on and smiles when he sees me
“good morning” he says wrapping his arms around me from the side
I kiss his cheek “good morning”
He rests his head on my shoulder as I continue to make the pancakes. He places gentle kisses up and down my neck
“Liam I’m cooking” I say
“mm and I’m hungry” he mumbles into my neck
“stop trying to distract me then” I sigh trying to push him away
His arms tighten around me “I didn’t say I was hungry for food” he smiles cheekily
“well food is what you’re going to get. We are not going to turn into one of those couples who do it every day” I say sternly
He pouts cutely “but baby I just wanted a kiss” he says
“suuure” I say rolling my eyes
“please?”
I sigh “fine” I say bringing his lips to mine. I just fit into his arms perfectly. And we get lost in the kiss before someone knocking on the door interrupted us. I sigh and pull away
“you better get that” I say going back to flipping pancakes. I stack them on a plate and set them on the table with a bottle of maple syrup. Liam comes back with the rest of the boys trailing behind. I smile at them.
“morning boys” I say
Niall’s eyes lock with the pancakes “how did you know I was going to be here” he says grabbing the plate
“actually I – never mind I’ll just make some more” I say grabbing more ingredients out
“I’ll help” Liam says
“thanks baby” I say pecking him.
We were just finishing making the pancakes when
“you had sex” Harry exclaims
My eyes widen “excuse me?” I say
“you two had sex” he says smirking
“Harry, don’t be ridiculous” Louis says
“ask them to tell you they didn’t” Harry says
My face, by then, had gone a dark shade of red
“Liam James Payne” Louis says glaring at Liam
“yes?” Liam says
“it’s none of your business” I say
“Nicole?” Louis says
“it’s so obvious, Liam so got a birthday surprise last night” Zayn says
“Zayn!” I say appalled
“if you hurt her so help me Liam –” Louis says before I cut him off
“oh please Louis, like you’re a virgin” I scoff
He looks at me bewildered “that’s different”
“How different? I’m 18 can do whatever” I pause to look at Liam “or whoever I like” I say
“so you did?” Niall says with a mouthful of pancakes
“Like she said, none of your business” Liam says smirking back at me
I smile up at him “end of discussion” I say pushing a new plate of pancakes forward.
