"And what exactly does this have to do with me?" I sigh, sitting on top of Emily's marble kitchen counter.

"This is your sister's wedding-"

"I have heard nothing but that damn statement for six months straight, and quite frankly, I'm going to puke if I hear it again," I say through gritted teeth. I cared a little when Nathan first proposed to Noelle, but here I am, six months later, about one inch closer to leaving Noelle at the altar. She can have four bridesmaids for five groomsmen, that'll really make her pass out.

"Meghan, language!" My mom scolds, "As I was saying, your sister has an appointment at the Bridal boutique downtown."

"Okay? Do I need to watch the twins?" I say, monotonously, as I slouch over.

"No, not this time."

"No?" I sit up straight, suddenly interested.

"No, actually, this appointment is for the both of you."

"What?" I blurt. I've gone six months without going to any appointments, and I don't want to start now. Sure, I've booked the appointments for Noelle, I've looked at things at home, and my mom has even called me during an appoinment for my opinion- it went unnoticed, if you're wondering- but I've never had to actually go to an appointment.

"Yes, we've pushed the bridesmaid dress appointment off as far back as we could, but we have a month until the wedding. It's now or never, Meghan."

"How about never?" I ask sarcastically.

"Meghan," My mom warns.

"Fine," I roll my eyes, "What time is the appointment?"

"It's at eleven, but be at least twenty minutes early! I'm sure you're already awake and dressed, so I figured that you could just change into something more presentable-"

"You don't even know what I'm wearing," I look down at my pajama bottoms and t-shirt. She's right, I can't go to a boutique dressed like this, but I could've been in a hundred dollar dress and heels, but she still would've said something like that.

"Meghan, just please be there."

"Okay," I shrug, looking over to the clock on the other side of Emily's kitchen. It reads five-past ten, the sight of the clock makes me gasp a little too quickly, causing me to cough a few times before I can recover.

"Are you alright?" My mom asks.

"Oh, uh, yeah, I'm fine," I take a deep breath.

"I'll let you go finish getting ready, don't think you can get out of this appointment. Also, don't forget you're meeting your sister afterwards at the Italian restaurant across the street at two-thirty."

"I'll be there," I groan and hang up. I groan loudly and stomp my foot before storming back to the living room.

"I have to go," I interrupt Luke, Emily, and Ashton's conversation of what I think was about cuddling.

"Go?" Ashton turns quickly.

"Where?" Emily raises an eyebrow.

"My mom booked an appointment for me today, apparently, can I get ready in your room?" I ask.

"An appointment?" Ashton repeats.

"Come on," Emily stands up and squeezes Luke hand before letting go. She's really my only friend that knows about the damn wedding, so I'm incredibly thankful that I don't have to explain the wedding to the boys.
