....so i watched a man spray paint for two hours today... physically i am okay, but emotionally i'm bruised.

I also decided that I didn't want to write another Ashton chapter (just because y'all deserve an update and I'm so close to finishing this story, I figured y'all wouldn't mind too much if I went ahead and skipped Ash's chapter). I am still going to write all four epilogues, though, so here you go!

Much love,

june 4, the day before graduation.

"Are you alright?" Luke asks, looking up from the miscellaneous papers that are spread out in front of him on the library table. It's now almost eleven o'clock and we've spent the past two hours sitting like this, sifting through our college papers together in the empty school library. Luke's mom had a key into the elementary school that she taught at and she let me and Luke in so we could use the quiet library for our college prep work.

"Hmm?" I look up from my own stack of papers.

"You've been spaced out all night, babe, is everything okay?"

"Oh, uh, yeah, I'm fine," I say quickly, looking back down to the various college forms (everything from a student political poll to a course questionnaire) that I have yet to fill out.

"Em, something's wrong, I can tell," Luke sighs.

"I'm okay, trust me."

"You know, I've always been able to read you so easily. I'm serious, I remember going home after our first tutoring session and I told my mom because I was weirded out," He admits as he stands up from his chair and walks around to the other side of the table to sit next to me, "You know what my mom said?"

"What?"

"She said the reason why I could read you so easily might be because you're the book that I'm destined to read."

I look up at him and give him a small smile, "Really?"

"Really," He nods. My heart flutters, but when I look down at the papers in front of me, I can't hold back my scowl.

"I know you, I know when you're upset. So please tell me what's wrong," Luke sighs.

"It's nothing to worry about, I'll be fine," I say quietly and shrug. Luke wraps his arm around my shoulder and pulls me closer into his side.

"Baby, c'mon, talk to me," He mumbles, pressing a small kiss to my temple.

I bring my knees to my chest and curl up to Luke, resting my head on his chest, "I'm just worried about all of this."

"All of what?"

"College," I sigh, "I'm scared about college. Everyone has their futures planned out and I'm just here, constantly hesitating and unsure if this is really what I want to do."

"Babe," Luke rests his head on top of mine, "It's totally normal to not know what you want to do. College is where you find that out, you'll be fine."

"How do you know?"

"Well, I know this really tall, hot blonde guy that's hilarious and he's going to be up North for college, too. Maybe I should introduce you?"

"Oh, really?" I hold back a laugh and look up at him.

"Yeah, I can introduce you two really quickly, too."

I raise an eyebrow and he smirks, holding out his other hand, "Hi, I'm Luke."
