Nathan's POV

We spent last night cuddling and reminding ourselves how much we love each other, if things were going to work out like I hope it would then I might be able to propose today.

I was outside our room since Uriel didn't want me to see the dress just yet.

"What's taking you so long?"

"I'm almost done baby, hold on."

She didn't need the help of a hair stylist or a make up artist, she told me over yesterday's breakfast that she could do it all on her own.

"Are you sure you're okay? If there's something wrong them I'll call a professional to help you."

She didn't bother answering "Are you still conscious in there?"

The door bursts open and she emerged in a blue faux wrap v-neck dress with her blonde hair perfectly long and wavy.

"How do I look?"

The dress hugged her curves perfectly, I was so ready to ditch the ball and take her right where she stood  "You look ravishing." She smiled  "What was the fuss about earlier?"

"I couldn't wait to see you but now..." I swallowed and she raised a brow "I've seen what I wanted to... beautiful."

Her make up was natural, she's a natural beauty of course.

"You haven't even complemented me yet."

"Well...well..."

"Well what?" I patiently waited "You look...I don't know."

"You don't know?" Baffled was an understatement "You look dashing Nate. You can be a kid sometimes."

"At least I'll be your kid."
"Hahaha. Very funny."

"Don't worry about that. I'm fine being it's father." She looked away but I caught sight of the blush on her cheek in time.

"Let's go down, shall we?" I offered my hand and she took it with a grin on her face.

Uriel's POV

I pulled it off, the dress was perfect and I was grateful to my eating habits that I hadn't lost or gained weight after purchasing it. It would have ruined the night for me.

Walking in my stilettos wasn't easy but I had Nathan to support me since I was walking for the better part of the night. The men gave me lewd glances and the ladies who were jealous of me gave me hateful stares.

I ignored them altogether

I was introduced to business partners, investors, A-listers, Actors, actresses, elites and surprisingly people who had accomplished a lot in the literature world. I looked over to Nathan who gave me a wink and left me to continue my conversation with my idols.

I was so excited when they told me that they'd like talk more with me and see my works, we exchanged phone numbers and now, I was searching for Nathan.

When it was time to dance, he reappeared by my side "Where have you been?" I asked noting the anger in his eyes.

"I've been around." Probing further could ruin his mood more "Thank you."

"For what?" His Poker face turned to one of confusion "You introduced me to my idols. I appreciate." He managed a smile "I did it for you. You deserved it."

"Some boyfriend you are."

"A really charming, hot and sexy boyfriend you mean." I rolled my eyes "Come on, let's dance."

"Okay Mr. Charming, hot and sexy."

I love how cute our love birds are right now but something's bound to come up.
