Uriel walked hand in hand with Nathan as they approached her house, Paul was inside and they were going to tell him everything. She braced herself for whatever reaction she was going to get prompting Nathaniel to kiss her forehead.

"It'll be fine don't stress it out."
She never nodded and walked into the living room. Paul was sitting next to Matilda laughing about something oblivious to the fact that she had just walked in holding hands with Nathan.

They went forward and she reluctantly pulled her hand from Nathan's "Paul?" She called out and he raised his head to get a better look at her.

"Uriel we were so worried."he stood and embraced her. Uriel looked around for Nathan who gave her a small nod gesturing for her to continue.

"Paul we need to talk."

He said nothing but led her inside the house away from Nathaniel, Matilda and her aunt into a room, he shut the door behind them.

"I also want to tell you something." She assumed it was something about the wedding and wanted him to go ahead before putting an end to it with her words. Before breaking his heart.

"You go first."

He took a deep breath "You're an amazing woman Uriel. You're smart, beautiful and one of the most talented woman I know. You care so much about everyone around you. You even love strangers that you've met seconds before. I thought about this and and I've come to the conclusion that I love you but not as a lover should, It's more like the love of a friend."

"I'm sorry but I have to call off the wedding."

Uriel felt relieved "I don't want to break your heart but I have no choice."

"You should know the reason why all this is happening. I owe you that at least.

"No Paul it's okay. You don't have to." He shook his head and continued "I love Matilda. She's my ex. We've been going on and off for years each time growing more fond of each other." He smiled to himself.

"I came here to get my mind off things and then I met you. You have an irresistible charm and then again you're beautiful. I thought you'd be better but I was wrong. I was quick to engage you and just when I saw Matilda again, I lost it. I still love her Uriel."

"You have every right to be angry. I know but..." She held her hand up to stop him "Let me finish. You've said enough, it's time for me to talk." She cleared her throat.

"We obviously came here with the same intention. The truth is, we both thought that we were going to make a good couple. But we forgot that we didn't love each other. I love someone else too."

"Nathaniel." Paul said with understanding, Uriel blushed and faced Paul curiously "How did you know that?"

"Matilda told me. I guessed it two days ago when he was acting strange because you didn't come for lunch." She blushed more "I love him a lot Paul."

"I thought as much, she told me about what happened four years ago. He truly is apologetic, he won't do that again."

"I know...how do we tell your parents and everyone else?"

"We'll tell them today itself. I will talk to them and they'll understand."

"Let's not keep them waiting." She said as they made their way to the living room. "Don't mess things up again Nate, she loves you to death." Paul warned giving Matilda a quick kiss.

"I sure won't buddy, she knows I can't do that, we're stuck like glue." Nathan answered as he snaked his arm around Uriel's waist.

Paul explained to his parents the reason why the wedding couldn't hold, they agreed and didn't have any hate towards Uriel or Nathaniel.

Nathaniel officially introduced Uriel to his family, he couldn't describe the emotions on his  mother's face. She gave a warm embrace to Uriel welcoming her into the family.

Enzo had no problem relating with with Uriel, they were already really close. Zandra warmed up to Uriel immediately.

Nathaniel explained to his mum and sister what had gone on between Uriel and Paul "I'm glad you followed your heart."

"I would have regretted if I didn't."

Paul and his family held an extravagant dinner and invited the Montez, Hernandez, Guiterrez and Ashley's husband as well.

There, he proposed to Matilda who wasted no time to replying a yes. He slipped the sterling silver ring into Matilda's finger.

"I love you." he said as he brushed his lips on hers "I love you too." She said as they kissed. It was a heartwarming scene to watch, all the families celebrated with them.

Nathan couldn't help but tease his best friend as much as he could. Soon he would get down on one knee and propose to his love.
