Nathan's POV

It's been three days since Uriel had been at home and today we were going out for Tony's house party.

She looked gorgeous in her trousers and black long sleeve collar rib crop top, her hair was let down and she wore large hoop earrings.

I wondered how I drove safely to our destination because I kept stealing glances at her. The party was already in full swing when we arrived, Tony led us in.

"Nice party." I told Tony "Thanks man. I have to find Olga. Enjoy."

"I'll get drinks for us." Uriel started, her eyes were glowing with excitement.

"I'll come with you." She nodded and went to the bar side. We had a few shots

"I didn't know you had it in you."
"I'm full of surprises."

"I can't wait to uncover all of them." She giggled and we went to the dancefloor. I'm not sure how long we stayed there but I was satisfied seeing Uriel having a good time.

"I'll get us some water." I said and excused myself, I was about to grab two bottles of water when a lady came up to me "Hey handsome." I ignored her but she grabbed my collar.

"I don't really like being ignored." She reeked badly of alcohol "Look I came here with somebody."

"I don't care." I was about to pry her hands off my collar when her lips crashed on mine.

"Nate?!"

Uriel was right infront of me watching this strange lady and I knowing what she was thinking, I pushed the woman off me and wiped her lipstick off my lips.

Uriel's POV

Nathan took long enough to get the bottles of water and I was getting worried . We were already enjoying the party why would he take so long now.

What's the worst that could happen?

"Hey Uriel." Olga called out and I went to embrace her "Looking good." I gazed at the hot pink 90s neck bodycon dress she wore "You're always classic."

"Tony said you came with someone." She gave me a knowing look "Yes, I'm with Nate."

"Are you two dating now?" I shook my head, I wanted it to be true cause I liked him but the truth was we weren't "No, we're just friends."

"Are you sure though?" She knew that I wasn't going to answer so she moved on to ask "Where is he anyways?"

"He said he was going to get water but I don't know... I'll go check." I said and went to find him only to see him with someone else. I felt tears well up in my eyes "Nate?!"

I looked around to see if we caught any attention and when I turned back the lady was gone.

"Uriel it's not what you think." He rushed to me and I massaged my temples.

"I should have known." I mumbled loud enough for him to hear "I want to go home." My eyes were stinging, I felt like a fool for having any feelings for him.

"I'll drive you home." I shook my head
"Stay back and enjoy yourself." 
"I can take care of myself."

I turned around and left.
